As much, as I don't like Wilder, I actually favour him over Parker. In any case, I am all for unification bouts. Let's see who the best man is. In the ring!
The April date sounds right cos Parker just won the title and needed a break after a busy 2016. Hughie Fury and the purse bid only came after Parker couldnt get a response from Wilder. With Wilder choosing Wawryzk instead, theres proof of that all over the net, it happened. Parker looking to duck? Not sure about that, no proof of that but I have heard rumours about a fight with Bellew. Parker is fighting the best available under the WBO criteria, its not like hes been champion for 2 years and not fought a top 5 opponent. Wilder has stated a fight with Parker in September, thats five months away. Its not ducking if he can squeeze Bellew in there before September. You gotta remember Parker likes to stay busy, he doesnt do 2 fights a year.
Absolutely it's ducking if he gets in a voluntary on May 6 as expected, then pass on Wilder when he's available, for some other ****. Parker should then be called out for playing the boxing politics game. Parker was talking about unifying and he should keep his word. That September date given by Parker's trainer is bunk as well. Stalling for more time as far out as possible, after they called Wilder out. Reminds me of Povetkin's team last year that wanted a late summer date, they were only forced to do May 21st, because it was barely within the 90 days after the purse bid.
I just think Wilder shouldve come and out and actually said yes to Parkers offer in December last year. Had Wilder said yes the next day, it wouldve been on by now. I do remember that Wilder was looking to test his hand out though on his first fight back but he was hittin Washington hard and that hand looked a 100%. Anyway, we'll see what he says at Joshuas fight. It all depends on where everyones at after Joshua/Klitschko.
Parker fighting a bum as a replacement for May 6 that got knocked out by Donovan Dennis in two rounds. Their pick for May 6 is supposedly 6'7, so it's even political. Trying to paint a narrative that he does better with taller fighters like Parker's minions have been saying. Pretty disgusting. Fight shouldn't last more than a round. That's a bad look in an of itself, but now there's no excuse in unifying with Wilder. If Parker doesn't do that then it's a blatant duck.
I agree. So until that time comes, we'll just have to wait. If Joshua wins this week, he might hit up Wilder about the trash talking and there might be a fight from that. You just don't know.
Hello fanboi - pot meet kettle.. Maybe you may have more understanding of those who think your boi does the same thing..
So you can't refute any of my points, just deflection. This is why you boxing fanboys are full of ****, claiming to want big fights and unifications but when the timing is right for one you all aren't demanding. Then you complain about eating a **** sandwich. All Parker has to do is stick to his word. DiBella, Jay Deas, Mark Breland, and Wilder are adamant in wanting this fight and the time is now.
Yeah, I am very aware Parker could well lose it - but I think he has a reasonable chance in there too, but either way just making this fight is good for boxing and wouldn't really do either guys' reputations harm, imho. One of those cases where a loss wouldn't necessarily be the worst thing in the world, especially for Parker who is only mid 20s. At least he'd be going the dangerous fights and trying to do things like unify.
Now if Donkey was willing to fight in 2 weeks then fair enough but he wants it to go out to July. In not like Wilder given full training camp to his opponents anyway. So why didn't your boi just cancel his last fight when the first fighter got busted and waited for Parker?? Or if he is so keen why isn't he scheduling his fights in tandem with the other two champs??? Parker and AJ fight pretty close together your boi doesn't... How is he ever going to unify?? Thats the first serious step and he has had two years to get that sorted out...
I know this takes more intelligence than you can "sort out" but this really isn't hard to understand. Wilder is available there's no excuses for Parker, who fought in May last year, then July, then October then December. No amount of words can deflect from that. I can smell a duck from Parker though which is why I'll be on him.
