The number of people creaming themselves because Ngannou beat a fat gypsy is laughable.

And decent heavyweight contender who trains for and takes Ngannou seriously stops him inside 5 rounds.

I would certainly like to hope so, for the reputation of the sport.

The question, really, is about just how "decent" (or how fraudulent) Wilder is...

Sure, he's held a belt (hostage), but he hasn't really proven an awful lot as a fighter - he's shown limited skill, a questionable chin, decent (if overrated) power and significant heart in the ring (yet none in matchmaking)...
And he has a very poor resume - especially for a former champion with fighters queuing up to fight him that were better than any he actually beat.

I don't necessarily think Ngannou is a top heavy, but I don't necessarily think Wilder is either... They both have to prove themselves - the difference is Francis might actually be willing to try.

It is hard to know how much Wilder can bring at this point. He doesn’t fight enough and is much like Fury now in that way.

I think Wilder is looking old and scruffy in his latest videos.

Wilder would at least show up fit and that would be more than enough.

Wilder KO’s the Fury that showed up for the Ngannou circus.

But he was also five years younger, could still move fast and his head was far more focused than 2023 Fury

    Might be enough... Might not...

Ngannou probably has a solid chin to have taken some of the strikes he took in UFC - is Wilder going to hit any harder than that? Somehow I don't think so.

He also hits pretty hard, as the state of Fury's face after the circus bout shows... And Wilder's been beaten black and blue by a fairly pillowfisted Fury, twice...

There's a possibility Wilder does enough - there's also a possibility that the attributes of both men make it a horror matchup for Wilder.

There's also the fact that Wilder's horribly overrated given his lack of quality wins, with his best win was Ortiz who himself has a ridiculously thin resume and was rather dubious to have ever been considered top ten in the first place.

The coping, hoping, spinning and mental gymnastics being done by boxing fans to try and downplay that a 37 year old 0-0 mma fighter beat the number two boxer on the planet, is what's laughable lol.

Agreed. Ngannou is too slow. Wilder sleeps him. Wilder can throw a pretty sneaky fast right.

Not sure what makes you so confident in knowing how much Wilder has left in his tank, over 2 years since Fury beat him half to death and haven't gone a full round since then.

Wilder took more punishment in the third Fury fight than Ngannou has taken his whole career.

Couple that with his age and inactivity... and the arrogance boxing fans have regarding this matchup is foolish at best.

    Duhaupas was slow too.

Size, chin and toughness was all he needed to drag a prime 29 year old Wilder into the trenches.

Yeah, fair enough. My opinion is predicated on Wilder not having diminished too much.

That, of course may not be the case.

If chicken legs don't land the big round house haymaker then he probably gets killed against Ngannou. A lot you guys are still under estimating Ngannou. He's the baddest man on the planet the 0-0 boxing record dont mean jack didly squat. The man knows how to fight plain and simple. Imagine if he lands a body shot to Usyk. It would be over. He's got 50 pounds on Wilder and Usyk.

And oh by the way that second time Fury went down I think it was the 6th round that was no slip. That was another knock down. The boxer with the best chance to beat Ngannou in my eyes has to be Zhang .

Not at all. Respect to Ngannou but in no way, shape or form was Fury prepared for what he encountered. In my opinion that speaks more about the unprofessionalism of Fury than anything else.

Ngannou’s next fight will tell us a lot.
