Holmes and Tyson are the only two I'd expect to beat wilder. Ruddock has a good chance if he can land that legendary shovel hook of his, but Razor had great firepower but a mediocre chin, especially after the Tyson fights his jaw turned to glass.

Interesting someone brought the K bros into this, but I am not even sure the Klitshckos, the princes of barrel bottom scrapers of fighters 10 years past their time, wouldnt defend against ortiz. OK they might, but they wouldnt sell it as their most meaningful defence.
Wilder, until he's proven to be the real thing, is merely the big fish in a very mediocre pool IMO...Tyson, Lewis, young Foreman, among more recent champion, would have brutalized him. Only a casual fan would give Wilder any realistic chance against the 80s Tyson. PLEAAASSEEE, for the love of God, explain to us how a man who: 1. Has poor footwork 2. Doesn't know how to utilize a jab. 3. Pulls straight back from punches with his chin in the air. 4. Is easy to hit. Has ANY chance against Tyson? Let's be very clear... Wilder has nothing going for him besides power. And if power alone was it all it took to beat Mike, then Bruno and Ruddock would have pulled it off. Please, stop with this casual fan nonsense. Going life and death with Luis Ortiz does NOT bode well for his chances against Mike. Tyson destroys Wilder. Even Tyson haters should have enough common sense to see this.
When I look at Wilder's opponents... I do not see one fighter who would beat Witherspoon, Ruddock, Holmes,Tyson or Holyfield.. see a few who may beat Truth Williams and Pinky...

Wilder may finally start getting the praise thats long overdue...the man is one big kudos to the 1980s....his whole 214 lbs 1980s physique ....his boxing skills are underrated despite his being a mark breland product.....his power and heart are unquestionable...and his ability to finish and wild flurries are exceptional. However matching him with 1980s guys is very difficult.the lost generation due to their out of ring inconsistencies would most times get beat by wilder sometimes brutally...but on their rare best night any number could beat him.... Its also styles. In short id say tyson beats him everytime Ruddock,foreman both beat him every time too Holyfield and holmes,spinks have their hands full but win. Unbeaten dokes and thomas would beat him bit their other selves get stopped .
