Valuev was a statue for the first 5 rounds, which Evander won clearly. There is a reason why he looked like Floyd Mayweather in there, because Valuev sucked so bad. Valuev didn't land a clean shot until the 6th round.
Bigcat, I got news for you......the governing bodies are the problem. They are the ones that make sure certain promoters, fighters, get preferential treatment. The sad thing is that there's not a damn thing me or you can do about it.I think that most of us that have followed the sport for a long time, have come to expect the insanity.
You are probably very near the mark, Sauerland events treated us terribly when we boxed Povetkin a few years ago, and changed the rules to accommodate his fighter at the last minute.. I just don't like what i see going on at some of his shows, he makes and bends the rules to suit everyone around him and his fighters......
No doubt Holyfield was the better boxer, but thats not egnouf. Take a notebook and vote the close rounds your self like a ref would do. Then you will find out he actually lost this bout - Thats it. Im a Holyfield fan too but he lost on that account
If you're a Holy supporter and/or a Valuev hater (which is about 80% on this board) you will think that Holy won "clearly" but the truth is there was nothing clear in this abomination of a fight. A draw would have been the right decision. Valuev sucked major ass but so did Holy, he did absolutely nothing. 95% of the fight he was circling the ring and trying his best to avoid any punch exchanges. I can't feel sorry for him, both put on a disgraceful performance but you can't win a fight on 10 punches per round and which also have less than no effect at all.
Holyfield didn't do much. Whatever, few can argue that. The problem is that Valuev did even less. You belong to a very small fraternity of people who feel that Valuev won. 3 people actually, the 2 judges who scored it for him and yourself.
Nah, this guy too: http://blogs.telegraph.co.uk/gareth...ision_viewed_a_disgrace_by_television_viewers Apparently it's impossible to call it a wide Holyfield win by viewing on TV. :nut
