I seriously doubt he was guaranteed $40M. That number was probably dependent on him winning and drawing enough PPV buys.

He made $1.3 million for this fight. Considering the fact Garcia and Stevenson made similar money for fighting complete bums (salka/bika) I'm not sure that's a good sign for Broner. His next couple of pay days will probably be under a million since I seriously doubt he headlines again

I'm pretty sure that deal would've been incentive based ie if he kept winning and fighting who they tell him to he gets 40 million

only way that'll happen is if broner racks up a few nice wins...then turns on floyd, and floyd comes out of retirement to shut him up......i really dont see that happening though....(not the floyd part, i dont really think floyds gonna actually retire...the part about broner getting a few good wins)

    :deal :yep

I couldn't believe people arguing that Broner was a potential future PPV super star. The guy is lucky to have made what he's made. He maybe able to score a few more million dollar purse if he beat a few cans in spectacular fashion. Step up in competition and he loses again.

I never believed the deal. I think it was a publicity stunt by Broner. Has anyone verified it?

so funny that people actually believe this rubbish , broner is seriously over rated as a fighter , he has been found out yet again , i really dont see much of a future from here in my opinion , his life outside of the ring already looks to be catching up with him .

i guess broner missed the major bit of advice from "big bro" about hard work and dedication . i predict in a couple of years the word "bum" will be hanging over broners head , i just do not see much of a future at all and it will all end very badly .

Most of the GBP roster are about to jump ship, if Shane Mosley's ramblings on Twitter are to be believed.
