Chads a pretty decent fighter, he's the only one out there that Joe should face if he doesnt retire.

I can see him fighting Froch now :lol::lol:

Kessler & Hopkins ? Please he has beaten BOTH and needs to retire now , Hopkins will always find another fight to massage his ego , Kessler needs to concentrate on cleaning out HIS era of 168lb fighters instead of chasing blokes that have beaten him into retirement . we heared all the stories about what each fighter was going to do to Joe Calzaghe once they got him in a ring but it never happened as Calzageh proved he was a cut above each of them when push came to shove ..

Too little to late for Joe Calzaghe.

I don't think he will ever be mentioned in the same terms as Sugar Ray Leonard or Marvin Hagler and still even Roy Jones Junior. Personally i don't think he is going to retire, and i do think he will be beaten.

Anyone who is anyone in boxing knows Roy Jones has been shot since 2004, performances do not lie. I realised this and started to think logically leading up to this fight, Roy Jones wanted to go out like a warrior on his shield. Just like Sugar Ray Leonard, a sick Muhammad Ali against Larry Holmes and so on. Just like a soldier on the battle field...........

Joe Calzaghe is a great fighter but there will always be something missing to his legacy, and this fight was not a legacy fight..it was a money fight and well deserved for Joe Calzaghe.

first post ever in the Aussie forum...

Joe is the best fighter out there at the moment and that's a fact.

Their will alwaays be the Chad Dawsons and Carl Frochs claiming he is avoiding them etc.

Joe should retire, he has nothing left too prove.

If by some chance he wants one more payday maybe (If Froch keeps winning) an all British fightin about with the overrated Nottingham bum will provide an easy payday with little risk.

BHOP still beat him, Many agree and many don't but Bhop in my eyes still beat Joe and it's as simple as that Plus everyone says he never lost and people who have followed his career know he has had 1 or 2 iffy wins that were very very close.

I don't really like this Froch fella but seeing as he is a Brit fighting a haitian by way of Canada i will still be roaring him on , Ive followed Pascal for about 4 years now and if Jean showboats ala Prime Roy (as he is sometimes known to do ) then Froch will KHTFO imo ..

I had Joe winning by 4 or so rounds against Hop. I was very surprised when the first judge scored it to Hopkins.

Very clear win for me, and he'd win even clearer in a rematch.

Thing is Pecks Joe has always been wide open for that sneaky sharpe right and Jones knew this as well last night Hence the semi Knockdown , all Joe will have to do next fight is keep his eye open for it and then after the inital two round war take Bernard to school infront of me and 69,999 of my mates in Cardiff , it gave me no pleasure seeing a decent ATG like Roy swallowing his can of Whooppass last night but Hopkins getting his would be a different proposition all together ...

Joe is pretty fuggin good, he looked very sharp yesterday, IMO.
He looked better with Roy than he did with Hopkins.

I don't think he needs to retire, he still has plenty left. OTOH, he could easily retire and be known as pretty special.

I reckon if he does hang about for 1 or 2 more fights, I would like to see a Kessler rematch. Mainly because I think Kessler is the only one who has the potential to win.

I'd probably still put my money on Joe though.... :nut
