Ok, maybe it will be SOMETHING like it. Canelo looks to be a quicker counter puncher than Danny, while GGG walks his opponents down much better than Matthyse and is a better boxer. I also think our fight next Saturday is a better style matchup, making for a better fight as GGG walking Canelo down will force the fight more so than Matthyse did. No fight comes to mind at the moment. These guys are unique.
Excellent comparison! I picked the underdog in Garcia who was supposed to be blown away by the puncher in Lucas and will be doing the same thing with Canelo here who's the underdog here with the puncher in GGG.
I think if canelo hits ggg low everytime he comes in ggg isnt gonna take it and like it like mattysse did. I could see the refs giving a bogus knockdown to canelo though, like garcia got when mattysses head was clearly thru the ropes which is a stop time. No, i dont like the analogy at all.
I forgot about those low blows. But come on, it wasn't every time and they're not why Garcia won. I addressed that response.
Garcia hit mattysse low 20+ times and got credited for a knockdown that wasnt legit. The fight was a draw without the bogus knockdown.........wtf are you talking about?
I get what you were going for but I still see it as a huge stretch. GGG is skillwise levels above Matthysse, ditto for Canelo as far as Garcia is concerned, unlike Matthysse, GGG will adjust to anything Canelo throws at him, quickly. Jacobs is levels above Garcia, he adjusted constantly, and GGG adjusted to his adjustments accordingly. Canelo isn't going to be some punching machine in there letting go combinations like he was against Chavez, fear will cause him to keep his hands at home the majority of the fight, fear of a Cotto and Mayweather counter made him apprehensive to let his hands go, can you imagine what reaction a counter from GGG will provoke?
