after groves and ward (still smw and inactive at time of writing) rematches, that's probably it for froch. you're talking as if he's 1/2 way through his career.

andre ward is not moving up and neither is froch....

ward is not active and will become and hbo comentator full time...

froch, after his contraversial win over groves, stated that he would like another big money fight or 2 before he retires....so he has no plans on moving up

No no I understand that, I have tickets and will be in attendance :good

However I don't see why at some point he doesn't try and fight BHOP, IMO he beat him easily, u would catch the cobra doing the same mistakes as these other fighters BHOP he been schooling recently

Whatever's left of Carl Froch that they scrape off the canvas after May 31st will be in no fit state to carry on fighting let alone move up to 175 :deal

Carl better not move up to light heavy. The top three guys there will all beat up, especially Stevenson and Kovalev. As old as Hopkins is, he will not have problem schooling Froch through twelve rounds.

Considering he usually only weights in the low 170's I doubt he'll have any desire to move up. He weighted 171lbs against Bute so he would be out weighted significantly and he's never shown an interest in moving up. He only has a few more fights left whatever pays the best will be the fight he takes.

    Never.

If he wins Groves , he will probably have one more fight and retire. If he loses , he will probably retire.

Ward won't be going up anytime soon either.

This ^. Froch fights relatively small for a SMW already and at 36 has plenty of miles on the clock. The only LHW fights that might bring more than the richest at SMW (JCC jr, Ward, Kessler, GGG - not including Groves II of course) would be Hopkins, Stevenson and perhaps Kovalev. I'm not convinced that any of them would be good for him.

Ward and Bute are big for the weight, Froch....not so much.
Ward/JCC are next for Froch IF he beats Groves, and doesn't take a lot of punishment in the process. (Huge IF)

Both Stevenson and Kovalev will knock Froch out. These are very bad style match up for Carl.

Froch is a real fighter and won't wimp out an pull a Calzaghe.
He knows he isn't completely done and his legacy is not where he wants it to be.
After he KOs Grove, expect him to annouce he is moving up to capture a LHW championship.
