Yeah right. Try going to a prize fight numnuts. But that would require you leaving your Mommy's house. and we couldn't have that could we?

Cotto has more marketable options. He's taking on Trout to get a belt to go into a fight with Canelo, then he will want to rematch Mayweather or Pacquiao. Martinez doesn't bring that kind of revenue.

Mad ? NO! Just shocked at total ignorance and lack of understanding of the sport. he obviously doesn't know what an ass-whoopin is because he's never had one or given one. Sounds like a lil ***** to me!!!

i cant see it...it has to be huge money

and Martinez will need a much bigger purse after his win over JCC....atleast 5 million IMO

Cotto was too scared to fight past his prime Pac...i think he is too scared to fight Martinez too

I dont have a problem with it if he does or doesnt. Martinez is not officially in his weightclass, whether he can make the weight or not, so Cotto has no obligation to fight him.

Id like to see it though personally, chances are though that he probably wont.

He doesnt have to fight sh*t.

Martinez is a legit middleweight while Cotto is a small Super Welter.

As much as I love Cotto, he would get slaughtered in their just based on the size & power disparity between the two.

I can see Miguel fighting (and beating) Trout & Canelo, and then retiring.

Which I would love, the man has already been in enough wars & taken enough punishment.

If it's Cotto your talking about i very much doubt that, i think it'd be a similar kind of fight to the JCC bout but much closer as imo Cotto is a smaller but fundamentally far superior JCC

Would love to see this fight. Sergio is finally earning the respect he fully deserves and he now deserves the opportunity to compete for the big bucks! Outside of Mayweather and Manny, Cotto is the biggest PPV draw so this fight would generate a lot of money for both parties and would give Sergio a genuine shot at winning against a genuine pound for pounder.

Not sure if Cotto would be too interested in this though as it is a fight that would be a big big risk and he could probably generate the same kind of money fighting others he could comfortably beat and potentially get him a shot at the top 2 again....
