What's so hard to believe about people going to an 'event' in a sport they don't mind watching as opposed to being actual fans? It's like the casual audience who go to shows, they don't go there because they appreciate the ring craft of Jorge Linares - they go there because they've been sold the narrative by Sky of 'have a go hero' and 'nice guy' Crolla being in a world title fight. They're into the fake rivalries and personas Sky build up which is why Derry Matthews Vs Ohara Davies made it's way onto a PPV card.

I went to watch England-Argentina rugby last year. I don't like rugby and I don't understand it, but people from my work went so I went along with them. It's the same principle

I said Eddy's success is basically due to his sky contract, the problem with Frank is champions are either poor or he matches them poorly. His best prospect in Yards is being moved to slowly and is probably in the most stacked division in boxing.

If Walsh can beat Davis, Fury can beat Parker and Dubois can make some waves then he has a chance of taking on matchroom. Right now nothing has been going right for Frank even with BT deal, I'm rooting for him coz I can't stand Hearn's cards.

I can fully understand that however that for me only applies to the marquee names. People who go to watch England rugby team play may not be rugby fans in essence but they go for the event. They don't pop down to london Irish or something though to watch them play.

You telling me matchroom shows are just full of these non boxing fans? Even crolla isn't that big of a name to pull that off.

Haha, you say that but I genuinely went to a London Irish game the year before. Awful sport.
I'm not saying the shows are full of them by any means, but I think a lot of them at the shows will be local guys who just watch the Sky shows and nothing else. the sort of person who might listen to that woeful toe 2 toe podcast every few weeks and take it all as gospel.

Then it probably ain't gonna happen. As I've said all along, there is absolutely nothing to gain from this fight for Crolla. Therefore, short of Warren offering him a ridiculous payday, he's probably going to stick with the option of moving up to 140.
