his last fight he got a glowing write up in boxing news but watching it (and im no expert) i thought he looked poor. he didnt have the power to discourage his opponent and for me he ran out of ideas towards the end and was content to survive and he was getting put under pressure. he knocked down mcdermot and tht ref stopped fight but doesnt he lay gas mains for a living...i would expect a contender to convincingly handle part time fighters. he defo has skills but for me not the all round qualities of a champion
Yes he will .... hes not the finished article yet and he will have learnt alot from the Belghecham fight .... all aboard the Barker express !
Barker is better than he showed in that fight. But he still isn't good enough to get a title imo. I think a similar fighter to that French guy who is more ferocious would stop him. Someone like Lemieux would be a nightmare for him imo.
He fights like Tyson. He's short for his weight division. Very hard puncher. Still needs polishing but he can easily finish a fight with a good blow to the body. Very exciting to watch. Devastating left hook. :hey [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eN0h_1dV--I[/ame]
My honest opinion at the moment is NO !!!!! , but like Mitchell i havent completley written him off just yet ..............
Much agreed, golovkin is a very classy boxer with very good power in both hands. I think golovkin and jacobs are the 2 guys who will go on to dominate this division for a good few years. Sylvester will be beaten as soon as he faces a live body.
1) did I say you did? 2) I know we are not - but you brought up the topic of notice and he had exactly the same notice as the Frenchman (who mullered him btw)
