Yeah, he'll get in, probably. The HoF is very silly and there may well still be money in Wilder come time. He's got a whole pile of paper title fights that people can quote each other around that time and the baffling quality of his opposition will have faded as a memory. I think he'll skin in.

All of Wilder's opponents were ranked by the WBC. ALL of them.

I know the "trite" comeback is they weren't all ranked "according to the ratings I follow" ... "not by Ring" ... and on and on ... but they were all ranked by the WBC. And he was the WBC champion.

And, for nearly a whole decade, Ring never rated Wilder lower IN THEIR OWN RATINGS than the number three contender. Not in any month. For NINE whole years.

Ring NEVER rated Wilder based on how many Ring ranked guys he beat. NEVER did.

Because even Ring knows champions don't fight anyone based on their ratings ... and most fighters without belts don't fight anyone based on the Ring ratings.

All of Wilder's title challengers were ranked.

I don't care who was ranked by the WBC. Sanctioning bodies rankings are a joke.

Yes, Wilder was even number 2 at some point. And? He was never the consensus best heavyweight in the world. AJ and Fury on the other hand, were.

Out of all Wilder's challengers, only Louis Ortiz was ranked in the consensus Top 10 rankings. Fury wasn't but he gets a pass as he was the lineal champion.

Well, Ring apparently cares about who was rated in the WBC ratings.

Because they didn't rank Wilder based on who he fought in their ratings.

Do you know how many people in history have been ranked that highly by Ring every month, year in and year out, for nearly a DECADE?

    It's a miniscule list.

Fury will have to fight for another three years and stay within the top three challengers every month at heavyweight to get there.

Usyk will have to fight another six years and stay within the top three every month at heavyweight to get there.

Joshua will have to fight another NINE YEARS and stay within the top three challengers (because he isn't there now) every month to get there.

Well, you can always check why The Ring rated him that high throughout the years, they explain it in every update. The fact remains, the only 2 Top 10 guys defeated by Wilder in his ENTIRE CAREER are Bermane Stiverne and Luis Ortiz.

    The FACT DOESN'T REMAIN.

ALL his challengers where ranked by the WBC. All of them.

Ring didn't even care if he fought their contenders or not. That shows how much their ratings matter.

Ring didn't even care if he fought the guys Ring ranked.

It's just some bizarre **** you guys who don't like him use to justify ignoring an all-timer.

    It's weird.

I feel I already responded to this bunch of nonsense, so nice to see you got thrown in the loop.

You can't be all timer only beating 2 Top 10 heavyweights throughout 16 years of professional career.

    Yes he easily belongs there.
It’s the HALL OF FAME after all and he achieved tremendous fame.

Deontay Wilder: future Hall of Famer
    1. 10 consecutive WBC heavyweight title defences over 5 years (2nd longest single reign since 1985 behind Wlad), best win being top 5 ranked, 30-0, 93% stoppage ratio southpaw Ortiz

    2. KO record (joint highest KO ratio among heavyweight champions, lots of spectacular KO's, perhaps the most devastating right hand puncher ever)

    3. Historic trilogy with the 3 stone heavier then undefeated lineal champion Fury

    4. Most prominent American heavyweight this century thus far (ranked in Ring’s top 4 from Jan 2015-Dec 2023), restored a degree of prestige to the American heavyweight scene, the only American male boxer to win an Olympic medal from 2008-2012 (having started boxing when he was about to turn 20, with only 34 months' boxing experience when he won bronze), ended the 7.5 year American heavyweight title drought (by far the longest period without an American champion in heavyweight history), which in the absence of Wilder would be an 18+ year drought and counting (barring the farcical 85 day “reign” of Charles Martin)

Wilder could only beat the guys who were willing to get in the ring with him. It's not his fault Joshua and Ruiz ducked him.

Shouldn't do given his best win is against a 60year old Cuban who never beat anyone decent.

    Bur probably will.
