If Joe Parker is the bigger puncher in a fight and walloping you all over the ring then it is fair to say that you are not a powerful puncher.

 

He boxed Helenius a year before Parker and two years before Zhang. Yes he was done, and he was also up against superior boxers.

They are also not good fights to try to prove a point about his power. Did you see the Parker and Zhang fights? He barely landed a glove on them. I just checked and he only landed 39 punches against Parker and 16 against Zhang and nothing significant landed. So neither fight is appropriate to try to make the point you are making.

To any reasonably objective boxing fan it was painfully obvious he was totally finished in both fights. When he knocked out Helenius he did it round 1 by landing a short right hand on the back foot. I cba going back and forth on this discussion. If you don’t think his power was great that’s fine. The evidence clearly doesn’t back you up and it’s totally against consensus boxing opinions anyway.

And it’s his power I’m referring to. We all know he was a shite boxer.

There is no way anyone is coming back to boxing at 38 years of age, after fighting only 1 round in 2 years and beating any live fighter. Washed Up Wilder was retired and it is sad that these finished old men are used as punchbags in return for loot.
