Fight once a year (currently a 16 month layoff if I'm not mistaken), your a -600 favorite against the opposition and your going to be P4P #1? LOL. If that is what boxing is about..my God.

beating Ortiz is expected. he handpicked the easiest guy he could fight.. I like Victor, but his style is too open and he does not have the stamina to go in against an elite fighter. Berto was not elite. Neither was Maidana, and we saw how Ortiz handled that. I want Ortiz to win but do not see how he can. The Left hook for Mayweather will be there after the 3rd round.

a part time fighter will never be number one.

so he retires, pick a fighter that he just wanted and boom he is back to number 1 again?

    laughable. LOL

So where do Maidana and Peterson fit in the top 5?

Hilarious that 13 people voted yes. Amir Khan has been fighting his butt off with a string of impressive victories - Kotelnik, Salita, Malignaggi, Maidana, McCloskey, Judah...he can't crack the top 10. Yet people think this princess Mayweather is P4P #1 for beating Ortiz in the last year and a half? Give me a break.

Ortiz is probably not top 50 P4P. I don't see how beating him makes Floyd #1
