Pac has shown what he can do now at 140. If Floyd beats him will people just say "Pac is a blown up superfeather" or will people give Floyd respect. I think he schools both of them. Although I'm not sure how he would fight against Pac, possibly like he did Judah?

He'll get some. JMM and Pac ARE #1 and #2 right now, so that certainly means something. And Pac has shown he can fight at 140 with no problem. That remains to be seen for JMM, however.

I do think, however, that PBF is a bit too big for these two guys, however. He's just a naturally larger guy. Victories will look great over them but won't mean as much as if JMM or Pac beats him.

And IMO...he may have made a huge mistake not waiting for Pac-Hatton to finish, and taking on JMM instead. JMM is nobody's tuneup...I hope he does the impossible and knocks Mayweather out. I just do not think it is wise to take on such a great technician after a long layoff...no one is perfectly immune to ring-rust.

If he was to do that then ppl would simply say "mosley was old" "Cotto was exposed/ruined by Margarito". fcuk it, cant please every1. Pacman is THE biggest test out there for floyd. not only for P4P status but for fighter of the decade!!!

He'll get some respect. He really needs to beat Cotto/Mosley/Williams for my respect

He'll get my respect for sure, but I know a certain element won't pay him his dues unless he knocks out Wlad Klitschko

He'll get a certain level of respect. But his biggest threats lie at 147 in the shape of Mosley, Cotto and Williams. Add those 3 to JMM and Pacman!!!

I expect Floyd to whip Marquez easy so I wont give him respect for that. Beating Manny however would get my respect. Beating Cotto and Shane would shut me the **** up.

i don't think Cotto or Mosley are as much of a threat as Pacquiao

Williams, yes, but i think it's a little much to ask of Mayweather to demand he fight him. The guy is a legit, top level middleweight!

WHEN Floyd beats JMM and Pac, people are going to say he was picking on smaller fighters, so the answer is No. Floyd will not get the respect and credit he deserves when he beats them.

Nah, i'd still favour thhose three to be more of a threat than Pacman. What he did last night was great. But Mayweather is far and above Hatton. Pacman would not find it so easy to bully Mayweather.
