Whytes chin had been well and truly broken by Povetkins savage KO just before that - it's not nothing, but it's not special either.

Chisora... Fury never knocked out Chisora.
    Fight one - UD
Fight two - retired (massive accumulation but couldn't knock him out).
Fight three - TKO, dominant performance but a fairly soft stoppage really... Fury landed loads flush, but couldn't put Chisora down nevermind out.

Chisora's chin is decent, but if you're both skilled AND powerful you knock him out - Fury's inability to do so suggests his power isn't that great... Which everyone already knew.

Fight two was only half done. The only think that saved Wilder from a pending coma was the towel.

Feather fisted Fury couldn’t even make the walking heavy bag MMA fighter blink so I highly doubt he will knock out Usyk.

I agree that Usyk looked noticeably slower against DDD than against Joshua though.

You shouldn't call a 6' 9'' giant "feather fisted". We all saw what he did to Wilder. @BubblesUK

He hurt Wilder pretty bad, but mostly through accumulation - but Wilder being such a limited fighter who has spent almost his whole career fighting third rate non-punchers means we don't really know how durable he ever was...
Probably not very, considering he ducked murderous punchers for a long time (Pov, Whyte, Joshua) and when he finally stepped up to fight contenders, the ones he agreed to fight were known as lighter punchers by heavyweight standards (Fury and Parker).

The fact Fury couldn't knock out Chisora in the third fight tells you he's still not a huge puncher now - Fury was landing flush power shots regularly and didn't get knocked down, nevermind knocked out....
When you can't KO a defenceless punching bag, with a long career of punishment behind him, you're not a huge puncher.

"Feather fisted" is slightly hyperbolic, but Fury before his retirement was a very light puncher by heavyweight standards, and even now he's not a very heavy puncher...
As far as this conversation goes - if Joshua, Chisora and Dubois couldn't get close to knocking out Usyk with anything legal, Fury has no option but to try and win on points.

Fury isn't knocking anyone decent out, let alone an iron chinned ATG like Usyk.

Comparing the skills level, I think usyk wins but I'm gonna be sentimental here, Fury destroys Usyk in 7 by body shots

I feel Fury has more keys to win either by using his jab at long range or by Usyk down. I would be shocked if Usyk stops Fury.

I mean skill levels, Usyk is technically sublime as a 200 pound man yes...but Briedes a man with much less pedigree still gave him a tough night just by finding his own rhythm and maintaining a good boxing range which made Usyk work hard, although I don't think the best Usyk turned up for this bout. Berb made Usyk shrink fairly heavily with his shocking power and the bodyshots he did land took it right out of him. Chisora fight take away was that Usyk has a really good beard on him and it has got better with age and the added mass. He can still get rocked by heavy unsighted shots but he keeps his head.

Usyk excels because of two major attributes for a 200 pound cruiserweight - His workrate & his feetspeed (including positioning ability) In fact he is BY FAR the best of his kind of this department. Fury himself excels as a 270 pound super heavyweight in these departments however his footspeed has slowed as of recent and his key weapon the jab has diminished with his elbow issues which is why many me included think his outboxing gameplan early doors might go out of the window. It's really how well Usyk can step up his game because the big lumps he's fought recently haven't required him to be hot on it.

The real difference with Fury and everyone can admit it is he does know how to be the big man and he knows how to make things hairy in the ring. Something Dubious & AJ could not do, they both basically stood static to the point where Usyk really wasn't even having to use his legs much. Fury is a different animal entirely and Usyk knows this.

That left hook to the body which is Usyk's kryptonite was Fury's bread and butter from birth...it's actually part of the story of how he got into boxing. Fury also reads his opponents FAR FAR FAR better than anyone Usyk has probably EVER fought. Usyk will not be able to hide and of his discomfort from punches Fury lands. Sad fact is Usyk doesn't like it to ANYWHERE on the body. Dubious & AJ failed to throw straight punches to Usyk's body and so did Joyce in their amateur bout. Straight punches to Usyk's body is Fury's entire gameplan from round 1. Everything else will open up from there. This is the difference Fury knows how quickly things add up over a fight distance and will commit to them unlike stupid fighters like AJ who really needed a one hitter quitter which Usyk is open to once in a blue moon.

If Usyk beats Fury then every head must bow and every tongue must profess that we have just witnessed one of the greatest fighters of all time. A god among men.

Great points here. As I mentioned at the top Fury has more keys to victory than Usyk. If he can't outbox him he can walk him down and he does have good footwork.
