i love merchant, actually provides some insight. sure he's old and talks slow, but he's got boxing wisdom oozing out his chode hole. also a good break between lampley getting extremely emotional and steward saying 'this is exactly how i thought the fight would go'
Hell of a post dude. That's exactly how I feel about Larry.....He's an annoying legend, but I can't imagine HBO Boxing without him. And like it or not, even the people who hate Larry would acknowledge that If they were being honest.
hmm says . . . Larry stays . . . just wish he was a cool as this grandpa though, but hey can't do without him . . . http://www.ovguide.com/video/little-miss-sunshine-grandpas-advice-922ca39ce10036ba0e112c0527600c18
Perhaps you can answer the following question posed earlier: For all of Merchant's boxing 'genius' and experience, what have YOU ever learned new or interesting from him about the fight you were watching or even about boxing in general?
He makes me laugh with his ridiculous & often incoherent statements. But I don't necessarily think they should get rid of him. I DO think that they shouldn't match him with Steward tho. I think they should go with Merchant/Jones or Kellerman/Steward. Those combos work a little better. On the Donaire & Chavez broadcast I felt like I was watching the fight at the old-folks home. HBO definitely needs some young blood.
