With the abundance of talent at 168 right now and the prospect of Abraham and Pavlik moving up in the next couple years, I don't know if anybody will rule the SMW division for long. I do know that there are some great fights on the horizon if the top guys stop ducking and start fighting. As for Taylor, I've always viewed him as a great physical talent, but lacking in the brains department. He has a great jab too when he uses it but I don't think he'll ever be the dominant champion that HBO was hyping him up to be simply because he doesn't have the boxing IQ to do so.

He has a good chance and I won't be surprised if he does.

I think so too,he impressed me very much in the Pavlik rematch where he seem to have a good game plan and executed very well he just lost to the better fighter.

Or got a draw, or won, depending on who you talk to.

LOL, thunder... You really think Taylor is that vulnerable? His technique was good enough for Hopkins and Wright, regardless of how people felt about those victories (me included). Froch?? Bika??

168 is another game from 160 and he lost the first fight with Bernard and arguably the Wright fight,Taylor has always been a HBO hype job more or less, they trying to make him the next big thing.I quite enjoyed seeing him get KTFO,it was do after all the bad decisions and stuff

He will have a shot at the winner of Froch-Pascal and he should beat any of them when they meet... Therefore he will be in the mix with a WBC belt and I can easily see HBO demand a fight between him and Kessler at that point ! It would be close to call...

Taylor is too small for 168lbs in my opinion.

I did too, I have to admit. I never liked Taylor. But I do acknowledge he's better than fairly talented, and more than reasonably skilled. Staying on even terms with Bernard Hopkins and Winky Wright is no small feat, win, lose, or draw. I expect him to do quite a bit better than some I guess. But who knows, maybe you'll be right.

No he cannot. I'd favor Kessler and Bute over him, and wouldn't be surprised if someone like Andrade wore him down. Add to that Abraham will be moving up in the near future and I just cannot see it happening.

He won't rule the division. He's too small, does not have enough power. I his match against Pavlik, he wasn't able to reach the weight limit. He will look like a midget against the big SMW, who weight over 180 the night of the fight (Bute, Kessler, etc.). They won't be afraid of his power. He's an excellent boxer though, but won't be THE man in this division.

yes he did he survived and thats what his game plan was . NOT to get KTFO. and he did it. big ****ing deal. i got to say i was impressed to. but in no way does he rule 168. he will be done in agian but in a more brutal fashion. remeber we still AA down at 160 and KP. so no he will not rule . and he has a 30/70 chance of wining a vacted belt.. he is absolute **** and was scared to press CORY ****ing Spinx for **** sakes.. and some of you think he can rule 168:-( at 168 i think he beats a few ranked guys but once he fights the top 5 he'll be put to rest
