Yes to both if he retires undefeated. It depends, also, upon how some of his vanquished foes do, but for me he is already ranked between 95 and 115 so retiring undefeated would see him leap a couple of spots.

He also has time to add to resume, of course.

Joe is the best 168 ever. Now he is two weight champ with a win over someone like X. He is HOF and ATG, no doubt. Everything he does now only increases his legacy.

Calzaghe will go into the Hall of Fame, but is not an all time great.

He is the best supermiddle of all time, but it is a fairly new division, and making 20 defences of a single title is hardly anything to write home about - the key is the quality of the opposition, which is questionable.

Joe is a great fighter, but his resume doesn't match his ability IMO.

In truth, I would rank Joe on a par with Ricky Hatton when it comes to the full package - resume, skills, heart etc.

Joe Calzaghe will likely become HOF and ATG before his last fight. Joe Calzaghe should fight big name fighters such as Taylor, Pavlik, Tarver or Dawson for the last fight. After Roy Jones, there's the possible rematch with Bernard Hopkins.

Easily HOf. As for ATG yes, but it's a long list.

hof? no doubt. all time great? no....beating a 43 year old bernard hopkins doesn't get you there in my opinion. His resume is really weak, shown by an old old b-hop being his biggest name. roy jones won't enhance it at all. he needs a to fight jermain taylor. he may say b-hop isn't a legend, but history will be much kinder to b-hop than calzaghe.

Definately HOF - if only because he was the first man to win all four belts in the Super Middleweight division - the first guy to become truly undisputed at the weight.

As for ATG, even if he were to eventually be classed there, he'd be somewhere near the bottom of barrell so I would rather he be remembered as a top class boxer of his own era.

he is already both. numerous wins over past champs. unified champion, 20 plus defenses, in addition to smw dominance has linear lhw championship...concensus pound for pound top 3.

obviously you fail to remember Hopkins had just beaten some very good fighters, was linear lhw champ and concensus top 5 p4p. so dont brush off the win or you risk sounding ignorant.
