Hard to say. Depends on how aggressive Joshua is, as he controls when the fight will end. If he fights like he did against Wlad I say it does not go beyond the 5th. If he fights like he did Ruiz ll then 10th or UD.
Probably not given his age and at this stage of his career. He was a very good, tough fighter in his prime (albeit very basic and lacking variety) but he's giving away a lot in youth, size, power, and speed and even though he's not a featherfist and AJ doesn't possess the sturdiest mandible his most likely route to victory is on points and 12 rounds is a long way to go to navigate your way to victory when facing the kind of physical disadvantages he is especially at almost 40 years of age when his punch resistance will likely have decreased. Even if he does manage to achieve that he'll have to dominate the fight to get the decision in AJ's backyard. I expect AJ to take him out in style during the first half of the fight.
Pulev will have knocked out the malfunctioning robot 15 minutes earlier. He'll already be on to his third sexual harassment by the time the 7th is due to begin.
I think if Pulev is still there after the 7th round he could win. I can see a scenario where Aj blows his wad early, if he hurts Pulev and goes for the finish & doesn't get it. It's the only way Pulev wins.
I listened to Pulev's interviews these days. Pulev is happy, Pulev is amazing. Pulev is dangerous. With his confidence he may go past 15 rounds maybe. Today he will show us.
no ruiz is not top 6. he lost to a guy that was beaten by whyte, who gets floored every time he faces someone who is a living body. the thing is a lot of guys on here were riding aj’s dik so hard a few years ago and instead of being honest and accepting that they know **** about boxing, they just try to make some special fighter out of ruiz. ruiz sucks, he gets beaten by old man ortiz, he didnteven have a proper training camp for the new york fight. I also think that pulev gets koed but i wouldnt be surprised if he wins, not cause hes good but simply cause joshua sucks so much
My initial thoughts were it's over inside 3 rounds. But having rewatched Wlad's fight with Pulev, I'm not so sure. Joshua obviously isn't Wlad he isn't going to be able to instigate the same plan that Wlad did. Wlad had the most success when he jumped in with shots. Pulev isn't a great mover he likes to plant himself in front of opponents and Wlad just leapt in with left hooks and arching right hands. Joshua doesn't have the speed of hand or the lightness on his feet to do what Wlad did and jump on Pulev and blast him out of there. Plus Joshua has come in light again, we may have seen the end of the seek and destroy Joshua. I think he's far more cautious, tries to take away Pulev's jab with his lead arm via parries and tries to come over the top with right hands. But it will be a methodical approach, he breaks Pulev down before going for the kill. So maybe it goes more than 7 rounds I don't think it's out of the question but with Pulev being nearly 40 I think Joshua ends it inside 6 rounds.
its not only the left hook that dangers pulev.. Pulev as good his jab is he gets lazy with it too sometimes and can be countered with the right hook. Pulev is very slow seeing shots coming.
Would suprise the heck out of me if pulev goes more than 6 rounds, that would be impressive cause he would ship a lot of punishment by then
I have a strong feeling that this one is over very very early. Less than 3 rounds. I think AJ is ultra aggressive and smashes Pulev early, hurts him badly early. Then finishes him early. I think after the loss to Ruiz and then the stinkfest of the rematch he will want to put a marker down. Pulev has a habit of switching off mentally in fights especially on the break, and I think AJ badly hurts him in that situation.
yeah and boxrec also had aj at number 1 for years until they realized that wilder would kill him so he is finally number 3, despite holding 3 mayor belts.
