good points, trying to put to many big fights on in one night, can come unstuck, a couple pull out and your left with a good ffn, but pay per veiw.:huh

 

It's a fantastic domstic card. But not PPV worthy. Warren is just in need of money after losing PPV star Amir Khan, and future PPV star Mitchell. Its a really good event but there's no reason for it to be PPV.

 

the idea of putting the uk cards on in a runup to top american fight card was a good one. kind of 2 for the price of one.

 

That's what I think. Buy the TV rights for a US show every couple of months for £50k and then stick on a British portion as well, that would be an easier sell and better value for money. Obviously you couldn't do that for every American show and some of their shows (cough Berto-Quintana Williams-Cintron) would be hard sells but doing one every couple (lets say 3) of months could work with the right events being choosen.

 

they have to make these guys interesting somehow.

 

It does depend on how many of the fights actually happen.

Rhodes vs Konecny - a nobody to the public

The above fights could just be beat downs so people in their mind have sat through ****.

Barker vs Macklin - quality
Brook vs Jennings - quality
Cleverly vs Murat - interim shot has bogus written all over it already. No one knows this bloke.
Chisora vs Sexton - good match up, **** fighters.

The major X factor is how many of the TBA's will be **** and how many of these fights will fall through. Isn't Brook vs Jennings cursed?

 

Enzo is fighting Alexander Frenkel and Rhodes vs Konecny won't just be a beatdown - it's a tough fight for Rhodes.

 

I feel if they could get a American card on top of it it would sell more than what it is going to sell. A world title fight depending on who it is would do great PPV numbers. We have been lucky with Sky with Money Mayweather fights you could of seen them put that on PPV and I would of bought both of them because he is a world class fighter same as Pacman when he was on normal Sky down the years. Just because they are British / Irish fighters dosent mean they are PPV quaility.

for us its fantastic for the casual its a case of "who?" so i say flop

 

Hardcore fans will pay £15 (if they can afford it)
Casual fans will not pay period - they simply dont care enough

Warren needs a household name for PPV - he doesnt have one right now

 

Dont underestimate Skys role in this with luring in the casual fan. Its in their interest for this to be a success too and i'd expect this to be given a major push on Sky Sports News etc to build up the fighters involved as the general public may not know too much about them!

 

This could decent on PPV due to where all the fighters are from.

Enzo and Clev will bring in the Welsh viewers, Brook,Rhodes and Woodhouse with the Sheffield/Yorkshire lot, Barker, DeGale and Chisora for the London audience, Macklin, Broadhurst and Gavin for Brum lot who are not already at the arena.

And the hardcore are going to buy this cos it's a good card from top to bottom.

 

If they can persuade a million people that Nikolai Valuev is an unbeatable beast then I'm sure there will be decent buys for this show.
