Sorry to start another Matthew Hatton thread, but seen as we are all on our soapboxes today, **** it :yep

Should he win on Saturday night - points is 10/3 btw :good - will he look to unify the division?

Given that world champions normally fight every five or six months..... the WW landscape at world title level MIGHT look like this......

    WBC/WBA - Shane Mosley
    WBO - Manny Pacquiao
    IBF - Isaac Hlatshwayo

How do you see those potential fights panning out?

Or will he look to cherry pick other names from the top 10, such as......

    Floyd Mayweather
    Miguel Cotto
    Andre Berto
    Luis Collazo

    Thoughts guys?

    :hey

I hope he cleans up the WBU, WBF and IBA as well as getting an interim WBO shot as well. Only then can he be called a world champion:lol:. Seriously, I don't even think it's safe to think of what Mosley would do to him:rofl.

In a couple of years Pacman and Mayweather wont be getting any younger, he will take his chance.

How many rounds do you reckon it would take Mosley to stop him?

    Three?

Hlatshwayo is about the best chance he would ever get to win a proper world title, be worth a go but probably get stopped late.

I like to see Matthew go for the IBC title after capturing the IBO Crown. It's his time now...he's at the peak of his powers...stopping Ted Bami caught the world's attention now he has to strike while iron is hot...............AND NEW IBO WELTERWEIGHT CHAMPION OF THE WORLD FROM MANCHESTER ENGLAND...''MAGIC'' MATTHEW HATTON.

For the sake of boxing Lovemore please please don't let this guy win...i'm pleading with you

Cotto don't like it easy does he...Hatton would provide another highly technical battle for the Puerto Rican Legend. Jab for Jab that be a high class battle.....

Tbh from what i've read and heard bout Matthew i wouldn't mind seeing him get a pasting from my hero.

Thats my thinking, the way he whooped Gomez and Jennings around the ring, the same would happen here only in more brutal fashion!

I think Matthew might beat Gomez to be fair.

Really sympathised with that poor ******* being beaten to a pulp. After five completed rounds I think I had him 13 points down :-(

I remember Cotto stopped hitting him a few times and was looking at the ref thinking "errr are you going to do anything here?!" but no, the beating continued.

I wasn't sure what to make of it really.

He might have been better served just blasting him out in a round..... instead he sort of took it easy on him, allowing him to do just enough to stay in the fight - wasn't the referee going to let it go on?

From memory it was the commission official that pulled him out.
