So you think he wanted Oscar again because alot of fans think Oscar won? Maybe he feels Oscar won? Or was is just for the money :deal :deal :deal :deal :deal :deal :deal :deal :deal :deal :deal :deal
you seem gitty over this....lol....calm down....i think he was disappointed in the SD.....he clearly wanted to dominate Oscar he wanted a UD a clear decision.....i think thats why he wanted to fight him again......i think he was disappointed in the results and felt he could have beat Oscar even more so and thats why he wanted it. Alot of Fans think Floyd won as well my friend, i doubt he feels Oscar won, and personally i thought it should have been a UD as Oscar only had one thing working for him and he abandoned it...those flurries were crazy inaccurate as his punch stat suggests...even both fighters got credit for shots that probally didnt land and even more so for Oscar. You have to recognize while he did present the fight Floyd only reacted to what Oscar was doing had Oscar tried another startegy then maybe we have different results but yet Oscar brought forth ineffective pressure and that my friend is not enough to win.
my 'overuse' of emoticons make me seem more emotional than I am Sorry. I just feel the only reason he wanted to fight Oscar again was money. I was kinda getting at, Floyd never admitted that it was a close fight, as far as I'm concerned. So why else would the "winner" be calling out the "loser"?
It was def. a better fight than most seem to let on these days too. It's on In-Demand now for showcase of the upcoming fight and I watched it twice yesterday. Good **** really. I hadn't really seen it since the live night and the week later re-play and at that time I was still caught up in the hype of it all. Good show put on by both fighters.:deal
well i dont think..again its my opinion..i dont think it was money because they had just set so many moeny records and man they got PAID! I truly believe just like the Castillo fight the first fight he got a UD....but the maority population believed otherwise....i think Floyd does listen to people and even himself he wants to dominate not just win....as far as outboxing his opponent..not going for the KO or whatever. I think he heard what some might have thought in that it was close should have been a draw or for ODH....and i think he didnt want any misconception that he is hands down better and he knows he can beat Oscar probally by by a bigger margin thats more decisive than a SD...i think thats why he wanted the fight again.....and the money dont hurt:hey
Episode 2 showed me something good about floyd - he isnt just after the money. As he said, he's got enough, he doesn't need anymore, so he does care about his legacy and as a result, assuming he beats Hatton we are likely to see him against some of the other welter elites. However, due to teh hatred between Mayweather and Arum we can kiss the chance of a Mayweather/Cotto showdown goodbye :-(
Floyd was in a very similar situation with Castillo and gave him an immediate rematch. If RJJ really cared about his legacy during his prime, he wouldve went down as a top 5 fighter of all time.
That's why skill for skill i think he's more talented than Roy I'm a huge Jones fan i thought the people at espn was a damn lie when Tarver knocked him out but he got caught and jus dropped Floyd is tougher than Roy trust me Roy was actually more prettier than Floyd......we talkin about legacy's people!!!
First of all, Roy was a better athlete and a more skilled boxer than Floyd. Faster too, not just in relative terms but absolutely. Had Roy retired after Ruiz (practically undefeated ) with BHop, Toney, Griffin, Ruiz etc on his resume, with titles from 160 to infinity, with a 48-1-0 record (38 KOs), having only a DQ to stain the record, he would have been regarded by nearly all as the best of the last quarter century. But he didn't. And now his legacy is getting eroded. Rocky was offered lots of $$$ for a comeback, but his 0 was more important. With Floyd, he could lose to Shane, Oscar or even Cotto. He would be favoured over all three, though. I don't see anyone else on the horizon, so I think he has two years more in relative safety. After that, it's just a matter of time. The body ages and somebody comes along. For his legacy, I would recommend 4, maybe 5 more bouts over the next 2 years and then retire, probably undefeated. ps I'm NOT a Floyd fan.
