If he doesnt follow the same pattern as every other great before him and retire to late....if he beats Cotto, and goes after Pac-Man and Canelo then retires he has a great chance at least 70%

For the record Martinez is to big for floyd...dude has fought from 147-160 throughout his whole career and will be a supermiddleweight by fight time....shows how great Mayweather is with such high expectations

all the talk in Mayweather needing the money after he retires. Nobody thinks once he retire he will put more time into Mayweather Promotions and become one of the big promoters in the game?

The odds are against him, but the odds were tremendously against him making it this far undefeated, so... I voted yes.

agrreed/...a guy like Mayweather will have to get cold cocked to lose or be further along past prime...unless he is at a huge weight disparity

If he did it would have to include a loss for him now so he would not have to worry about staying undefeated.

Nah. The money is just too good. He will probably eventually lose.

Although, if he makes it to 50(+), he probably would retire.

You'll see his next 4-5 fights he will cash out, most likely end up defeated, only question mark is if he goes to 160 to face Martinez.

And in responce to the 154 thing, Floyd is trying harder than anything to not 'drain' his opponents, sticking by this he would have to face martinez at 160

The last time I heard about this is, Mayweather wants all the PPV sales and will only give Pac 40m because Floyd is scared for his health.. He knew Pac would just put everything he's got and that might be his last fight.. :yep
In fact, Floyd even said that if the fight doesn't happen, so be it.. He is not willing to risk his life to face Pac where Pac is willing to do it with a 70-30 PPV split for the winner..

Pac is not scared of Floyd.. :hey

y would it HAVE to include a loss to fight to B-Hops age?

Im not saying mimmick B-Hops career im saying can you see him fight that long and be as successful or stay undefeated seeing as how its considered that their styles are suited for longevity.

Mayweather wants to go out undefeated with his 0 on his record. I dont see him fighting over the age of 42 because by then father time would have caught up to him making him more likely to lose to the upcoming young fighters who will be in there prime. If he has a chance to go out 50-0 or so I believe he takes it. He is also very conscious of his physical health after boxing and is going to walk away from the game before he ends up taking some serious damage because he was fighting past his prime. The only way I see him fighting until he is 47 is if he has already taken his 1st loss so that no longer is a concern. And he is just fighting for the love of the game and $$$

I believe father time eventually will catch up to him. He could probably still outbox most guys because of his ring IQ. But his speed and reflexes are still a huge part of his game.
