Yet another ducking thread? The guy's a welter anyway. He's never ducked anybody.

I would say Margarito avoided a Williams rematch due to high risk. In all likelihood he ducked the fight because he was coming of a huge glorious win and another tough decision loss to Williams even for a lot of money, didn't look too good. So, yes, he IS a ducker in my book. You can't run your mouth about being the most feared man in boxing and than just duck out of a fight like that. Not just a fight. But a chance at redemption against the guy that beat you, a guy you thought you beat even.

You and I seem to have different ideas of what ducking means. There are historically, fighters that completely duck out of every serious challenge for the majority of their careers, neither Williams nor Margarito are this type. So, career wise, neither man is a ducker. You could argue Mayweather, as great as he is, had a PHD in Duckology at weltwerweight, but then he made a mint following the career path that he did...but yapped about his godlike abilities and never fought the winning prime welterweights of his era.

My main point is that when these guys and their promoters and Kellerman as his hype man, start telling us he is Chavez and Whittaker all rolled into one with the potential to be as feared as Tyson, than that needs to be balanced out.

I agree that both Margarito and Williams are guys that will go out of their comfort zone. But Margarito claiming nobody will fight him and than refusing the Williams fight is a contradiction. And the same will be true for Williams if he doesn't give us the most dangerous possible fight he can make.

The problem is at any given time there can be 3/4 dangerous fights, and people would differ in opinion as to which is the most dangerous. I mean which is more dangerous - Margarito or Dzinziruk? Debatable.

People need to realize you can't fight 12 guys in one night. Let's give guys the benefit of the doubt before accusing them of ducking and see what happens.

OK, so the excuse is that Sergiy isn't dangerous or important enough. Please.

It is great that Sergiy made this challenge. It will shatter the "most feared" myth.

these guys who are talking so highly about Sergyi, have they ever seen him fight?

he got outboxed for a few rounds by Joël Julio !!!

this guy has never been a main event fighter in germany. And probably will not be in the near future...

Their is not a penny to make with this fight in Germany, cause the public doesn't know both fighters!!!

He didn't get outboxed by Julio you clown. Julio is a dangerous heavy handed puncher who is at his most effective early. Dzinziruk weathered the storm and then continued to outbox him clearly.

And you are completely wrong about money too. Dzinziruk makes solid money in Germany. Whether there is enough in it for a guy like Williams too, I don't know. They would certainly make money, whether its enough for Williams liking I dunno.

I dont think so, Dzinziruk isnt highly touted by the boxing experts I think that he is only ranked 7th or 8th by Ring at jr middle and even lower on some other ranking groups, so a win over him wouldnt push Williams up the list of p4p fighters, it would be a good win but nohthing earth shaking.

    Those rankings are a joke.

How the hell is he below Sergio Mora and Martinez when he beat two guys on their list and a current beltholder?

I completely agree with you. And I haven't accused him of anything yet. Margo or Dzinz is debatable, true, but I think I will be disgusted if Williams takes some mediocre opponent with name recognition on HBO, wins and we get Goosen, Williams and Kellerman talking about how this is the only guy that would take the challenge....the camera pans over to the defeated mid level guy, back to Kellerman's big serious wide eyed grin, and he says, "and you can SEE why. Bob? Back to you"

Nobody wants to fight with Williams so he will fight him. Sergey maybe is the tallest fighter that Williams will fight, 6'0, but that damm reach of williams is supernatural.

Exactly...who is Dzinzruk to call out Paul...Paul isn't a household name but he's known by alot more fans than Dzinzruk is...if "ducking" is simply not accepting a fight than Oscar De la Hoya ducks everyone but everyone calls out Oscar...Paul is the truth and Margarito fans needa get over that...Dzinzruk needs to face some real fighters and than call out Paul...I doubt Dzinzruk could bring enough money to the table anyways...
