Will the WBC pull the strings and let Canelo avoid Kirkland?

    boxrec lists this fight as a semi-final title eliminator. you won't see kirkland-canelo anytime soon.

    Oh I think Canelo could beat Kirkland but it's too risky for GBP to put him in there with Kirkland at this stage.

    Kirkland would beat the **** out of canelo!! Oscar wont put Canelo in with James.. NO WAY!

    Put Kirkland in with K-9, and see what happens.

    Another factor could be that Mexican fans want one of their native fighters to "avenge" Kirkland's victory tonight. They could be very influential in demanding it happen.

    Neither Angulo or Kirkland are big deals.
    Neither one is championship material.
    Both lite on boxing skills and slow.

    I think Canelo beats Kirkland but it's too much of a risk. GBP is going to ride this gravy train as long as possible.
