Will Vitali Klitschko Quit on his stool if the going gets tough vs peter?

Duran was 103-16 with 70 KOs

I'm looking for one factor in this fight.

Vitali always had a knack for avoiding punches. He leans back and utilizes his height very effectively. It's very difficult to hit him with more than 1 punch at a time. This lessens the opponent's chances of winning cuz his chin is more than capable of holding up to 1 solid punch per every attack. If he is capable of doing this tomorrow or in other words, if his injuries haven't rendered him a stationary target, he will win. Peter's become more of a pinpoint puncher (watch how he placed his punches in his last fight) but at the same time he's still crude and he's at a significant disadvantage height-wise.

 

Roberto Duran, Jose Napoles, Jack Johnson, Sugar Ray Robinson, Henry Armstrong, Mike Tyson, Joe Gans, Bob Foster, Sam Langford, Marcel Cerdan, Willie Pep, Kosta Tszyu, Alexis Arguello Ezzard Chalres, Jake Lamotta, Archie Moore and about 100 other guys at one point retired or quit.

So did Jake Lamotta.

My favourite fighters right now, probably Toney and Jones but they're obviously almost at the finish post. Mayweather was another, Lewis another. I like to watch Haye fight because he's British and entertaining, but that doesn't mean he's going to be HW champ obviously. I also became a massive fan of Breidis Prescott recently

No I haven't. I've said all along I'm not that bothered who wins - the only reason I lean towards Peter is because of the potential for unification, I wouldn't call myself a Peter fan, I'm pretty indifferent.

Nice one, I'll check it out. I always recommend "Boxing Confidential" to people just in case they haven't read it, one of the best boxing books I've ever read. If you've not read it give it a go.

He lost to one of my all time favourite fighters, Kirkland Laing. Total waste of talent in the end but he was one of the most 'watchable' fighters I ever saw.

I also saw Duran fight Hearns, he had a glass jaw :nut

 

I bet none of them quit against Chris "manos de piedra" Byrd though.

 

I jumped up and cheered when VITLAY KO'd Hide. That was probably about 5 years before you'd even heard of him :deal

Definitely get this book. It has a lot of great behind the scene stories
