Aside from his atroceous post-fight behavior, he still has the greatest equalizer in the Division.

    Why jettison him....

It was a horrible excuse and pathetic. He should take his loss like a man and move on fury won fair and square.

Not a Wilder fan but in 20 years he'll be the divisive hard hitting champ that was crazy...

Of course, some of them will, that goes without saying. Sad reality is that fighters usually lose some fans when they take their first loss.

To be fair, part of it is the fascination of the potential great - people often aren't supporting a fighter because of the guy he is or his boxing ability but because an unbeaten fighter - maybe he can't be beaten? And people have always been hypnotised by potential greatness.

I am not saying everybody does, but there are boxing fans that imagine themselves as those certain champions that are currently in the limelight, but let us see what happens when their dear idols lose their next fight. Those poor losing fighters will get dropped like a hot potato, and their fans will not be rude to the other posters no more. A word to the wise, anybody can lose on any given day. A true fan stays with their favorite fighter, even when they lose. This loss that Wilder suffered will humble him, may even inspire him. A fighter who is no longer hungry stands a chance of suffering defeat. Interesting to see what happens, nobody has a crystal ball.

I just stated that in another thread. I'm a ride n die fan.
More so a fan of boxing as a sport, not so much boxers.

As for Wilder, he was never on my P4P list. Rather my Xciting fighter list as was James Kirkland, Brando Rios some years ago.
I knew they were limited, but knew they brought it, well that's Wilder for me. Might say he'll get outboxed, or outjabbed BUT...I'm holding out for the 1-hitter-quitter. When it's delivered?
    It's delivered.

Some humanoids just follows hype. Like People watching some superhero movie like Black Panther in Wakanda. As soon as they lose they lose all of their fans also. Wilder's fans are from that breed. And Wilder knows it. So he feel the need to always act like he was their strong leader. He knows that he cant be humble in defeat in the eyes of his wolfpack because they would just turn their backs and leave him behind.

Sad for him for aiming for that fanbase from the beginning.
