I've just been looking at The Ring ratings and a Ring champion is unlikely until at least the 3rd round due to the absence of Lucian Bute.

If Bute loses to Andrade in their re-match Kessler vs Froch will probably be for the Ring title.

I'd guess so, it would have to be a wierd run of results where the 2 fighters who made the final wouldn't also be 1 and 2 in the Ring rankings.

No the Ring champ will be the guy who is most profitable to Goldenboy Promotions.

Touch wood, I think GB have done a pretty good job of seperating their interests and the rankings so far.

To an extent, there's still the influence though. But I'm not sure if that's because I'm looking for it. Before Shane's win over Marg he was top ten P4P. Looking back it looks like good judgement, at the time I was thinking f*ckin GBP!

We'll see but cant help but be critical when I look at their rankings.

sometomes the 1st vs 3rd fight can be for the Ring Title. Got a feeling the ring would do it.

Remember the ring have changed there rankings before for a TV tournement.

Are Kessler and Froch going to meet in the round robin stage?
