I'm guessing because maybe less people buy it there or maybe since it comes on so late, but I'm not sure
Come on man that is not what I said and you know it. I want to see the best fights. Fighting those 2 guys would take about a year. Who knows what can happen in that timeframe and what the best option will be at that point. Guys lose fights, other guys win impressivly and make a name for themselves. Maybe in the time Floyd was to fight those guys Ortiz could do something to actually warrant this fight. If floyd wanted to retire after fighting those guys I don't think anyone could blame him on the other hand if he wanted to keep fighting I think as fans dishing out $70 we have the right to expect the best from him. I am not trying to convince anyone here not to buy the PPV, people's minds are made up. I think it's a bit ridicuous to say that not buying it indicates a lack of common sense. It's not a fight I am interested in. A great undercard is not enough to sell me on a PPV. Like I said earlier it's all icing and no cake. Please feel free to bookmark this thread so that after the fight when Floyd wins every minute of every round and I get accused of being a floyd hater for saying that the fight should have never been made no one can say that I am only saying that because Floyd won easily.
I asked who you would like to see Floyd fight.. You said those two as I suggested, then you said if it's a good fight rematch, if he loses take a soft touch, or retire.. I'm not seeing any other options you listed, as I said. Ortiz won impressively, is a champion (WBC at that) at the weight Floyd fights at, and has made a name for himself again overcoming what people say he lacked (heart), this is the best option besides Pac and Martinez. If you have other names to add to the list, please do, like I asked last time... I didn't say not buying it indicates a lack of common sense.. I said buying a fight you don't want to does. A good undercard is enough for certain people to buy the fight, main event shouldn't be the only thing to sell it.. So if you like an up and coming fighter or someone not ready to headline PPVs, and they fight on a PPV with a main event you don't like, you won't buy it simply because of the main event? I honestly don't understand that type of thinking from a boxing fan, but to each his own. There's plenty of people who don't like the main event and say it shouldn't have been made.. No need to single you out. :thumbsup
Whether you order or not, ALL of you will watch. Pacquiao, Roach, Floyd Sr, Khan, Arum, all of Pacquiao, and all of Floyds fans will watch.
