Anybody have more any info on this guy? 5' 11'' 31 unbeaten 30 KO's 14 in the first round, but no one of any note on his record I dont really rate Lebedev, Hernandez or Wlodarczyk and i know Lebedev has a TBA in october so why not put him in or at least an eliminator or something Cruiser is hardly the most exiting division anyway
I already talk about him a few times here in ESB. He´s the most obcure "boxer" in brazil. There´s no evidence that his fights ever happened, even his amateur record is considered false or at least VERY CONTROVERSIAL. The brazilian best cruiserweight Laudelino Barros tried to fight against William but Bezerra ducked him and stay fighting obscure guys with positive records. The strogest theory here in brazil is that William Bezerra and his opponents has the record complety made up at boxrec. There is other thing..his trainer is Mike Miranda, a guy with controversial record too, that managed to get a title shot and quit before get hit, maybe that is the William Bezerra plan too.
its pretty ridiculous. this is common in places like brazil and colombia. guys records r padded and then they get a title shot and get KO in the 1st round
A fraud most likely. I heard from a Brazilian that no one knows him in Boxing circles in Brazil. His manager is Mike Miranda. A Jr. Middleweight who once padded his way to a I/C fight in Denmark (In 2006) and even to a WBO-Interim shot(In 2011). Both times he lost by early knockouts.
His record does look inflated with wins and i dont know why boxrec have him ranked as high as 21. The level of competition he's fought cant be very high because he's had 31 fights in around 2 years. Fraud probably, then again cruiserweight is hardly rich in talent
