Throwing over 1000 punches and coming forward is indeed 'something' to cling to. But anyone who watched the fight knows that Paul got destroyed all night, no questions asked. Casa didn't get destroyed, but he was beaten soundly in every way conceivable way. There weren't even stats to support that robbery. Paul deserved to lose by a WIDE margin. 118-110 or something close.

It was a bad decision but this wouldn't even make my top 10 list...

Martinez Williams 1 could have gone either way or been a draw. It wasn't too bad

I hope this time the score will finally get overturned.
But there have been sooo many investigations on blatant robberies in the past and I yet have to see even 1 where they changed the decision.

At least ban these judges from the sport... They've shown to be either partial, incompetent or downright crooked. Whatever it is, they shouldn't be allowed near a boxing ring.

No good will come out of this. They will just back up each others story before going public with the findings.

Does this happen often? Is it just a front to make us think they are doing something?

If this doesn't normally happen it's great, if it happens all the time and nothing ever gets done about it in the end then it's pointless.

Worst robbery I have seen in my time watching Boxing.

This is good news, I am praying that Lara will get justice! Lara completely schooled Williams from start to finish, give Lara his " 0 " back !!! :happy

The New Jersey Athletic Control Board has no plans to review or change the result of Saturday’s controversial fight between former two-division world champion Paul Williams and Erislandy Lara, although commissioner Aaron Davis will discuss the scoring with judges Al Bennett (114-114), Don Givens (115-114) and Hilton Whitaker III (116-114). HBO’s Harold Lederman scored it 117-111 for Lara.

Williams was busy as usual, throwing 1047 punches to Lara’s 530. But Lara connected at a 49% clip while Williams landed 21% and Lara repeatedly landed the cleaner shots.

Bennett and Whitaker both had Williams ahead by one entering the final round, while Givens had “The Punisher” leading by two. Whitaker and Givens both scored round twelve 10-10, with Bennett giving the final stanza to Lara.

They are just gonna talk to the judges and tell them...bad boys, dont do that anymore, specially if the fight is on TV !
