Nobody is discrediting AM. We are asking why he isn't fighting Williams. What is anyone taking away from AM? How do you know Floyd's fans are in the minority here on ESB? Your reason isn't why Floyd is in the minority on anything, that's an uneducated guess. Floyd is considered semi-retired. So if there isn't any news about him, his fans don't have too much to say about him. AM was looking for those fights you talk of because he wanted to get paid. Now that AM is the man to you, is he still taking those fights you commended him on that he took in the past? :huh

Again, I could get many examples from the last week on ESB of people talking about Floyd Mayweather, even when he isn't relevant to th topic. I'm not going to do it because we both know I can and with relative ease. People need to move on and talk more about teh current crop of Welterweights.

I would like to think it wasn educated guess, people resent Floyd because he didn't clear out 147. That's almost a fact.

Williams took those fights because he wanted to get paid but he also wanted to be considered the best out there legitimately. Margarito hasn't confirmed who he is fighting yet, everybody is jumping to conclusions. Margarito is a credit to 147.

The underlined in my response was meant to say "AM was looking for those fights" as I edited my own post.

When there is an undisputed or lineal champion in the division the rest are paper champions and there has been SIX DIFFERENT unified champions in the divisions(DLH/Mosley/Forrest/Mayorga/Spinks/Judah/Baldomir/Mayweather). Where was Margarito exactly?, oh yes, fighting and defending his paper title. Sorry but if you follow the rules well enough you will realise that Margarito was the paper champion.

 

How is he looking like Mayweather exactly?, last time I checked Mayweather didn't lose to anyone. Of course for people jumping from WWE/UFC to boxing you will count hype and bull**** trash talking as a win for Margarito. Here's bad news for you, in your dreams. Margarito wasn't his mandatory nor did he have a single major win for anyone with brains to consider fighting him, ever wondered why everyone has been calling out Margarito lately?, he got one major win and FINALLY.

 

Mayweather fans don't really hate him, they hate the ******s surrounding him. :deal The same ******s crying about the one-sided ass kicking Mayweather delivered to different Mexican "gladiators". I actually like and appreciate Margarito and only wish him the best current and when he retires, but the ******s surrounding him need to learn how to respect other greats and if they have no idea how there are facts surrounding Margarito FAR worse than the fighters they constantly insult, it's only fair to throw some back.

 

A career high payday in $4million, something Margarito won't make in his next TWO fights against Mosley and Cotto, isn't exactly ****ing "his self" over, it's Margarito who ****ed his self over by not accepting it and we all know why.
