My pick as well, probably not by TKO but decision. Williams has the height/reach advantage here as well so this won't be easy for Cotto but he'll still win it.

he went a little too wild, look at cotto or floyd when they stop their opponents, they keep calm and pick their shots.

Paul Williams wins ... if he keeps Cotto at the end of that 81 inch reach then its going to be an easy night for Williams.

WOW....Here we go again with the Paul Williams Hype.....First people jump off like it's the Titanic, and now people are jumping right back on like a dog in heat. The man won his rematch, and Congratulations and Props to PW for doing so, but it's sad/funny to me. How so many boxing fans have such short term memories. Did PW not lose the first time around in the ring with Q?

To those comparing Cotto's victory to Williams victory this past Saturday night.....It took PW 13rds to defeat Q, and Cotto did it in just 5rds. The First and only time Cotto has fought Q. That should end that debate right there. On who's performance was better against the same competition. In my eyes!

Sorry I'm not trying to hack your thread here, but these bi-polar reactions just get out of hand, and there's no Objective points. Just over the top and emotional opinions. but to get back on topic here.

As some have already pointed out. Cotto is a very bad match up style wise for Williams. With that long and lanky body of PW. Especially when you take into account that PW doesn't throw straight punches. While they aren't as looping as AM. It still leaves PW very open to being hurt on the inside (Cotto's bread&butter). With Cotto being able to throw harder, straighter, and crisper punches. Not to mention Cotto fights in angles, diferent styles by effectively switching southpaw, and by changing his speed and tempo of his punches throughout the round and fight itself. It's like a major league hitter who can control his bat in order to hit the inside fast ball, or the outside paint the corners pitch and go the opposite way. Very effective and frustrating for the pitcher and boxer. Now Regardless of biased and popular belief. Cotto is not a straight line plodder. You'd think by now people would know and see this?

There are no cake walks in the ring, and this past Saturday night should prove my point. PW does pose some problems for Cotto, but in my opinion Cotto wins this fight some where in the middle rounds 5-8 range. I will say this though....July 26th will either help or not help prove my point?

He sure did, can't deny that but he probably got overexcited after hurting a man who he lost against in the very first round and hurt him bad.

Right now in Williams career i'd choose Cotto. PW knocked the **** out of Quintana last night in the 1st, but that's a little different than knocking the **** out of Cotto first round. Cotto, even when hurt knows how to fight, has a lot of heart, etc. So, even if Paul did hurt him I doubt he'd finish him so easy.
NOW, give PW a few years, and I do believe he'd beat Cotto. PW doesn't know how to really use that reach, and though he is a DAMN GOOD fighter on the inside for being so tall....He isn't better than Cotto....And Cotto would rip his body to SHREDS!
