still for the WBC Middleweight title. Paul Williams insisted on it.

Williams is becoming one complete bellend. What am I saying? "Becoming"? He always was.

It shouldn't be an issue for either of them, but it does seem a bit pointless.

I would rather they were fighting at 154lbs anyway

Rather than for the lineal unified MW title? How does that make sense?

    This is poor from Williams.

The fact that he's the challenger is offset by the fact that Martinez will want to avenge his loss..... but still, chance to become the genuine world middleweight champion ought to dictate his thinking here.

Or at least I think it should.

Hopefully Martinez gives him a kicking and he can go back to welter to complain about not getting fights.

I was a big fan until the Pavlik and Cintron farces, and whining about Pacquiao ducking him.

Seems like another pain in the arse here, having it at a catchweight but having it for the title. Seems like they could have just let Martinez come in at 160 if he wanted to. Still I guess he wont have a problem getting to this.

I'd have a small bit of sympathy for Williams if the stories about him are true, that he really does find it difficult to get the weight on, even finding it hard to get up to 154. If he really wouldn't be comfortable trying to get up much higher, but is being pushed into this fight, than I can understand it a small bit.

If he's not big enough, then he shouldn't have looked to challenge Pavlik. Williams is a *****, pure and simple.

Complete and utter bollocks, the WBC are wankers for agreeing to it.

It is stupid, especially when you consider that Martinez isn't massive anyway.

Odd shift from P-Dub, who up until the Citnron fight was seen as up for fighting anyone. Still think it will be a great fight, this weight bollocks will be well and truly forgotten about once we see another great fight. It won't impede Martinez too much, and if he's as good as we all reckon he is, he should avenge this loss nice and easily, not allowing his heart to rule his head and making P-Dub look even sloppier than he did first time round.

    Shouldn't he? :yep

If its at 157 it should be a non-title fight.

I think 157 will probably make Martinez even better. It's worth remembering that he took the first fight on short notice. He'll be the right mix between hard cardio training for weight loss but with the extra size cause he's not boiling down so much.

I think Williams is getting his ass kicked again and this time losing fair and square.

I'm sure if Martinez was Mexican they'd refuse.
