Watched Ortiz vs. Brown. Nothing like the old school. 2 very skilled fighters. It allways bumbs me out to a certain degree at how much more well rounded old school fighters were than these guys now. Great fundamentals, can defend by slipping, weaving, and blocking with arms and hands. Excellent clinching, and a triple threat stance where still defense or footwork can transition into offense without missing a beat. It makes me think about fighters like Nonito Donaire and how he may have been in the middle of the pack back in the day, whereas now he has the chance to really stand out because he's well taught and others aren't.
Both Ortiz and Brown are a pleasure to watch. Ortiz was sooo damned smart and well rounded as a fighter...he looked so good with Brown..what a boxing mind he had.
they both had very nice styles. Brown seemed like he had some subtle feints that didn't quite work as well as he wanted but i could see them working on others. How would you rate Brown? He looked like a damn good fighter to me.

Not sure how many have been recorded, N, but his return with Dave Charnley was beaut. Plus, his run as lightweight king, was a boxer/puncher at his best.
Making a loud noise when hitting the heavy bag can actually be due to poor technique and 'pushing' with your punches rather than 'snapping'.
