Willie Pep loved exhibitions and fought in them right up until 79' or so... Just managed to catch his 73' 3 rounder against Saddler. Pep was 51, Saddler was 47. 3 rounds, a minute a piece. I guess they sparred plenty of times, this is the only one I've ever seen though. I don't even know it footage exists of the other Pep/Sandy sparring matches. This ones pretty bad quality, no sound, only 3 and a half minutes of total footage. Pep was pretty chubby, kept his shirt on for it. Looked to be 160 pounds I'd guess. Saddler was ripped to ****. Looked exactly like he did when he was 24 against Pep the third time. Extremely weird tid bit... Pep sparred Ike William's in 1974. :blood:blood:blood
