Yeah he knows fighters but he also knows how to keep his job and lick the balls of all the HBO fighters.
He will be feeling it but he needs to land and land a lot for him to start feeling it, that's the way Margarito fights. He's not a one punch KO artist and one power punch from him doesn't instantly hurt, punchers do that and he's not a puncher. He relies on breaking opponents down with activity, that's his style. If he was a puncher Cotto would have been taken out in the 5th or 7th. Torres is a good example of a puncher especially in the Cotto fight, first flush shot he caught Cotto with and he was in serious trouble.
He's always been pretty fair with Cotto I feel. He's always been a big believer that Cotto does a terrible job evading straight right hands and uppercuts but has always praised his body punching, his workrate and his jab. We know Steward says **** sometimes that doesn't make sense..but give the dude a LITTLE credit on this one
Fair point but my whole thing is he wears you out with his punches and you said he will have to land a lot more for Winky to feel them. Thank God Margarito throws a lot of punches. :hey :bbb
To put it in perspective, would anyone take Antonio Margarito over Jermain Taylor? It's clear in my mind who would win.
Winky would outbox Marg easily. Margs game is all about bullying which he can do at 147 when he is fighter them small dudes. 154?? He would get owned, not only is Winky Bigger he is the superior boxer.
