    I picked Winky too, I just don't know what would happen if Margo managed to hurt him... :think
    I really don't know if he could, but as the weight would be 154, I think probably Winky would not get hurt, he could get away from big punches and counter effectively.
    Still, Margo throws a lot of punches, so maybe mexican has a point...

    He's not getting to Winky's body Winky's long ass forearms enable him to protect his face and body at the same time. He won't need to match his workrate when his blocking more than half of his punches and Winky is landing cleaner and the harder shots as well. Winky will simply counter Margo or beat him to the punch since he throws the straighter shots and keep him at the end of his jab all night this will fustrate Margo who will open up more and give Winky even more oppurtunities. Margo can't be effective against a guy he can't hurt or impose his will on Winky will be the one who imposes his will on Margo in this fight.

    Throwing a bunch of punches that will hit forearms or be met by counters won't do him any good, Margo is simply outclassed in this fight you add it all up with Winky being a southpaw and it's a stylistic nightmare for him.

    Your hatred blinds you. Margarito does work behind his jab to get inside, he does use angles when coming forward, and his defense is grossly underrated. Just as Cotto, or Cintron, or Manny Steward. Winky would be so dead trying to make 154 at the age of 37 that he'll drained and paralyzed in there, especially with the constant pressure that Margo would put on him, and add the ring rust to that, he'll probably be clinching every 5 seconds. Your poll seems similar some other ones I've seen lately. Oh yeah, Cotto vs Margarito and Pavlik vs Hopkins.

    That's just it he's not going to hurt him Winky has underrated toughness and has faced much harder punchers in Hopkins, Taylor and Tito all of which hit harder than Margo. If anyone gets hurt in this fight it would be Margo.

    Winky's jab will slow Margarito and his work rate way down.

    Winky does not impose his will fighters bro. He is a defensive minded fighter and most dont do that. Margarito does not have a problem hitting Winky on the forearms. Like what Manny said during the HBO telecast of the Cotto/Margarito fight that Margarito hits you every where. Elbows, forearms, basically he said everywhere. Margarito will land his shots not cleanly but he will land non the less and Winky will get tired since getting hit in the arms really wears you out. He wont throw as much as Margarito and I think Margarito will have his opptunity to keep on throwing on his way to a close UD.

    I don't know about that. Winky is kinda feather fisted although his punches are very strong and push his opponents back. He doesn't hurt anybody really he just keeps them respectable.

    Wrong the difference here is that we're talking about a ATG at 154 facing a limted B fighter in Margo who is at a stylistic disadvantage big difference here. BTW if he clinches every 5 seconds that would work for Winky because he's the bigger and stronger man and that it would disrupt Margo's offense.:deal

    Winky walks alot of fighters down with his jab. Keeping them moving back. Look what he did to Taylor. How many times was Jermain's back up against the ropes. And Taylor is much biiger and much stronger then Margarito.

    Cotto doesn't have a jab to speak of compared to Winky. And he also ran away half the fight. Not to mention he is much smaller compared to Winky and doesn't have half the reach that Winky does.

    He stunned Taylor more than a few times when they fought. He hits harder than people give him crdit for and he would have more KOs but he doesn't go for them even when he has someone hurt he's content with winning by UD. I still stand by my statement Margo doesn't hit any harder than Winky does and Margo wouldn't stun Winky who has a great chin as well.

    People were shocked by this. The ease that Winky backed Taylor up in their fight when most thought it would have been the other way around.
