Winky hasn't fought in a while, and even that fight was at 170. Would like to see him before I can make a solid assessment
We'll have to see about this one. Judging by Winky's behavior of late, I doubt if it will ever happen.
Winky's defense won't be as effective against PTP as it has been over the years. The reason why is that PTP throws lots of punches from all angles with both hands which I think is key to beating a defensive minded fighter. Also Winky's best punch is his jab which won't pack enough power at any weight for him to keep PTP off of him. Winky's also old and there's no telling how an old fighter will look after not fighting for a while. PTP by UD.
For the good of boxing let's hope Williams would win that, I believe he would pull out a UD, but what weight are we guessing this is at?
If Winky still has any of the same form he did before Hopkins, there is going to be a lot of leather thrown in this fight between the two of them.
Winky should be able to beat Paul given how easy to hit Paul is, but given Winky's age now, it's possible Paul could grind him down and beat him just on sheer pressure.
this is by far the smartest fight Paul Williams can go for.... its the most recognized person that's at a reasonable weight for Paul to fight and its a very winnable fight and he will get recognition in the mainstream i hope this match is made and paul can pull it off
