Wright would destroy him. Floyd wouldn't be able to deny him at all and Wright would come forward and wear him down. Floyd may take the early rounds but fades and loses 8-4.
I have always thought that Prime Winky Wright would be one of the worst match-ups for Floyd, of anyone. There is a reason he was one of the most avoided fighters in the sport. I'd pick Winky by UD 7-5 or 8-4 most likely.
On the subject of Winky, I think he won the Vargas fight, the Taylor fight and he was winning the Hopkins fight early on too, until he gassed (which was just odd to see).
A prime Winky Wright would have been a nightmare for Floyd. His defense along with his piston jab is all wrong for Floyd. Would be similar to what Starling did to Floyd Sr.
He got jobbed against Taylor. Probably should have gotten the nod against my boy Vargas, and the extra weight in the Hopkins fight did him no favors. He was his own worst enemy. He was so stubborn after the Taylor fight that he kept turning down all these good fights. Totally destroyed his career near the end.
Tough fight for Floyd. A patient, bigger guy that doesn't care to be boring like himself, and with such a good jab, would be a nightmare for him.
