Williams by decision, the "Punnisher" is the real deal. I got to give it Winky though, for not having fought in almost 2 years and, your comeback fight is with a borderline top 10 pound 4 pound, thats just nasty.

First of all, I think Winky Wright is the most accomplished fighter of the two. He has faced and been victorious against the likes of Shane Mosley (twice), Felix Trinidad, and Ike Quartey while pulling off a draw against Jermain Taylor. He has also faced Bernard Hopkins and Fernando Vargas in a losing effort. On the other hand, Paul Williams has not faced as many tough names with his biggest wins coming off against Antonio Margarito, Verno Phillips, and Carlos Quintana (once). Paul Williams was also dominated by Carlos Quinatana in his only loss.

Second of all, having said this, we all know that when two fighters walk into the ring nothing else matters on paper except the skills of each fighter. I picked Paul Williams to win because of Winky Wrights' recent inactivity. Also, Paul is the younger fighter while Winky is the older one. I do not think it will be an easy fight and if Winky wins, I will not be surprised. I think Winky has a very good defense but he has been careless before. Paul is a punching machine and he will apply the pressure as most as he can.

In conclusion, a win for Paul will be a great one and will establish him as one of the top fighters of today, especially if he wins convincingly or by knock out (no one has knocked out Winky before). A loss might have him reconsider going back down in weight but will not descredit him as a fighter as Winky is a very tough opponent. A win for Winky will reclaim past glory and move him closer to a fight with Kelly Pavlik or Arthur Abraham for one of the belts. A loss will merely prove that he has been inactive and that his best days are far behind.

Overall, I think a win for Paul will be best for boxing as Paul is young and could be the future of boxing.

It might be wrong but I'm going with Winky here. What this really boils down to is can a inactive B performance Winky beat a A performance Paul Williams? I think Winky can he's such a great technician that I think he'll be able to expliot the holes in Paul's defense and even Winky at B level is still superior to Williams. Not only that but you have to factor in Winky's big fight experience as well. That's not a knock on Williams it's just that Winky is an ATG and one of the best of his era.
