Winky Wright wants Pavlik

it sucks that the timing of this isnt going to work. i love winky and have always been a big fan and obviously a pav fan and have always wanted to see this fight. but winky is at the end of a long line. pav will fight williams and then if sturm still hasnt been beat i would think that sturm is next on the chopping block. if winky is still around then maybe winky can get a shot before pav moves up?? maybe winky can fight sturm and the winner fight pav after williams??

 

I still forsee a Pavlik vs Winky matchup late 2010 because once Pavlik loses to Pdub he will need an opponent who won't knock him out but will give him a competetive fight

 

well played cuz. but big george said they are moving back to 154 after the fight and after watching his guy get put on his can by a fighter w/ a 50% ko ratio, most of which were against cab drivers as of late, it wouldnt surprise me if he sticks to that

really though, the williams fight has to happen. out of principle if nothing else. and its going to be tough for both guys. and when the fight does happen, i'll be there and i'll buy ya a beer :good

 

Why would they want to fight Pav AFTER he loses his belts???:huh

 

i like it!! or on the flip side of that coin, why would winky want to fight pav after pav leaves that same guy that whipped his ass slumped in a corner

Regardless of what you think, Kelly has better options than Winky and he will have to take a pretty bad stumble for Winky to get a shot.

Martinez would embarass Pavlik. Worse than BHop. After Kelly wakes up, Sergio will be standing over him in the corner, telling him he should fight more like Latino fighters.

 

I don't think they really want the Martinez fight again. Why would they? Their guy got busted up and walked away with a close/disputed decision. These guys could fight 3 or 4 fights and not come to a clear conclusion on who is better. I think Pdub needs to just move on.

You know he is working towards a law degree so he can become the next Arum don't you? Wait till he becomes Pdub's agent..... For all we know he's the one that has been such a pain in negotiations all along....

 

I'm no Pavlik fan...... but what exactly does he get by fighting a 38 year old light middle?

And why does Wright deserve a shot at Pavlik, having been beaten easily by Williams?

 

I confess ESB... I am the one who has held up Pav negotiations in the past...
