Winner of Fury-Cunningham Must Face Pulev

What happened to Fury going the WBC route and fighting the winner of Arreola/Stiverne?

 

Nice to see Fury trying to establish his name in America. He should be able to dominate Cunningham with his size and reach. I doubt he will be able to catch Cunn with anything big, but it should be pretty lopsided win, if Tyson will be boxing like he did in previous bout + puts some more effort and attack in it for the entertainment value. It will be needed in MSG.

Fury says in this interview he is unhappy with how the WBC handled the eliminator situation and may take another route with another sanctioning body.

 

I'm not sold on this Pulev guy. All he has beat is B class euro fighters. I mean come on Dimitrenko and Ustinov are tomato cans. My god Dimitreko got floored by feather fisted Chambers. I say Fury beats Pulev.

 

I like this matchup. The winner of Pulev vs. Fury would be a good challenger for Wlad.

 

I don't understand this Pulev "hype", either. That guy is not very big, is not very skilled, is not very quick and has not too much power in his punches.

He is decently skilled for a heavy weight, but not exceptionally skilled enough in that department to get me interested in him and to be in same level as Fury and a couple of other contenders are as a heavy weight contenders at the moment. Pulev lacks in the other departments too much and that will be brutally exposed once he faces any of the young top contenders.

Just listened to the interview,interviewer did well,asked the right questions.Who is he btw?Agree with poster who said he thought Fury would take a Kltschko if given the right offer.Was pointed out to me on here that Fury can only fight 3 times a year,he confirmed this.IMO not a good thing but otherwise his future looks good.Nice to hear him giving Price a bit of credit also

 

Fury is a top 5 HW if he beats Pulev and it would mean that he's most likely going to win a title after Wlad retires

 

Fury is building himself up very nicely.

Cunningham and Pulev next would be very good. If he wants to be world champion he will need to fight Pulev. Makes sense the guy is up and coming like him.

Why the rush to fight Klitschko's? All those up and coming guys should get 20 wins first. Rather 25. Once a fighter has like 30 or more wins they might just as well fight for the world title. But its ok to take time to develop I think.

 

I agree, Cunningham should have been given the decision against Adamek and certainly should have been given the opportunity to fight Pulev.:good

 

I would assume that if Fury beats Cunningham, which he should. He will take a long look at the winner of Arreola/Stiverne, and Pulev, and decide which guy will be the easier fight. Plus throw in the fact if Vitali retires, and he can attain a belt with out facing a Klitschko, he knows, or at least his management should know, that would garner him an even bigger career payday in the unification fight vs. Wlad, should he beat the Arreola/Stiverne winner.
