With Anderson injured, would you like to see Sonnen v Belfort or Sonnen v Hendo?

No point in everyone sitting about doing nothing for the next 8 months or whatever, as apparently Anderson is out til summer 2012.

Would you be interested in Sonnen vs Belfort or Sonnen vs Hendo in the meantime?

Sonnen Vs Munoz is apparently happening on the next Fox card.

 

That fight doesn't excite me. Okami beat Munoz, Sonnen beat Okami, and these guys all fight in a similar way, there's no intriguing styles match-up here. Sonnen will beat Munoz. Yawn. Next.

 

Dana doesn't want Sonnen to lose, Munoz probably won't beat him (though he'll do a lot better than Stann), so he works.

They won't put him in with a nightmare like Palhares or Maia until he's fought Silva again.

 

I want to see Leben vs Henderson, but after Hendo beat Shogun, that probably won't happen.

Sonnen vs Belfort would be pretty one sided.
Sonnen vs Munoz should be pretty good. Sonnen wins imo.

Sonnen vs. Wanderlei would be cool. Its low risk and it has hype.

 

Henderson shouldn't be fighting at 185Ibs. Much like Couture, as he gets older the weight cut (even though its not large) takes too much out of his conditioning. Also going up against a bigger guy helps avoid being dissected by somebody with superior speed.

 

No, I just think it could be an incredibly exciting, but short fight.

 

He's not winning anymore belts. Might as well match him up with other entertaining fighters. Give the fans a show.

 

With a gassed Henderson ? He almost couldn't finish the Shogun fight let him stick at 205 !

 

I wouldn't mind seeing Sonnen vs Wanderlei, as Wand has the sort of skillset to force a standup fight, though his career he has been very very difficult to takedown and keep down.

It poses a reasonably difficult match for Sonnen..

The thing is I think the fight may be too dangerous for Sonnen, he really needs to prove himself against a really good bjj guy imo.

 

I guess you have never seen him or Leben fight? It ends in the first round. Even if it did last longer, Hendo isn't going to gas against a guy like Leben. He doesn't smother guys like Shogun does. This would be a 3 rd fight too. Kind of makes me think you didn't actually watch the Shogun/Hendo fight. He didn't gas in that fight until the 4th.

 

I doubt it, Hendo isn't a fighter where pride gets in his way, he wouldn't play to Leben's advantages and like Munoz, would wrestle**** him. It wouldn't be the fight we'd all want.
