Witter has already made it very clear that he will give up his share of the purse to fight Ricky and lets not forget that a while back Hatton said he would fight him once he has a title. Witter has pulled out all the stops to make this fight happen, not only is it the biggest fight available at lightwelter for Ricky (with the highly regarded WBC belt up for grabs too) its also the most dangerous and imo the problem lies therein History will always question Hattons motives with regards to this match up.

just read an interview on bbc boxing with ricky hattons old man. he says rickys got 5 more fights planned before retirement and although witter isnt going to be his first comeback fight wittter is in the plans at "some stage" believe what you like but the uk needs to see this fight.

Sorry I think you misunderstood what I meant by top. Hatton is the champion, yes, but there are other top/highly ranked/name fighters out there Witter could have been making his name off instead of just hoping for a fight with Hatton.
