Witter/Hatton: Blame Ricky!

Witter. All Hatton fans want to see him fight Witter. But we can't tell Hatton to fight him anymore than Floyd fans can tell Floyd to fight Cotto.

I'd actually rather see Witter v Malignaggi than Hatton v Malignaggi. Although there's no reason why both can't happen.

I was wondering if doubts were starting to be raised about Keano. He has spent a lot of money. And so you think Gordon is any good? I hear he's making a lot of mistakes.

Pay attention, Malignaggi is tied up for 2 fights. Hes fighting Ngjoujo then Ndou.

No one at 147 will fight Witter - Mayweather - no chance, Cotto - no chance looking for Delahoya or PBF, Williams/Cintron - supposed to be fighting each other

 

Witter couldnt get a big fight then. He was trying to become WBC mandatory and the opponent he was supposed to face kept pulling out. Witter wanted to face Mayweather and was Mayweathers mandatory but PBF moved to 147 instead of defending the belt

 

Supposed to be fighting each other is not the same as actually fighting each other

I didn't neccessarily mean he would step up and take on the best. He could fight a few bums just to get his name out there in America. Then there are Clottey/Margarito/whoever

He could even fight somebody like D Hopkins. The point is there are plenty of fights for him

he's a decent keeper,but 9 million??? there's still big support for keano,but the test will come in the transfer window,because if his next buys are like his first lot then patience may well wear thin!

 

Whats the point in moving to an unatural weight class to fight bums (Margarito and Clottey aren't) when hes champ at 140? That would be foolish. Witters the top fighter at 140 imo but at 147 he would probably lose to the very top fighters (but I wouldnt write him off against any)

Margarito and Clottey would be very very tough fights for the much smaller Witter, he could win but what would be his reward? Would he get a title fight or be avoided?

FYI DHOPs turned Witter down. DHOPs would be a good fight for Witter because it would be an impressive KO victory.

Avoided is a better term than Ducking. Fighters often avoid tough fights for easier paydays or bigger money fights

Witter is in a no win situation until someone grows some balls and fights him

 

Because as you say he might not neccessarily get a fight with the top welters unless he fought a few gatekeepers/bums over in America to get his name out there. If he can't get a fight with Malignaggi or Hatton, moving up to welter is his best option

The point is, he reckons he could beat Mayweather. So if he's really as good as he says, the likes of Cintron should be an easy nights work

I just don't buy all these excuses for Witter not kicking on and getting big fights. They are just as weak as Hatton's excuses for not fighting Witter

Since when was Witter offered a fight with Cintron? Cintron is Mr Protected for the most part. Boxing is political and about money, Witter does not have the power to make BIG fights for the main part

The same reason cotto V mayweather does not seem to be happening money wise.

I don't believe that it is impossible for Witter to get fights without facing Hatton, the whole notion is just ridiculous

 

cotto-mayweather will be a huge mega fight, the reason it is not happening is because floyd mayweather isn't interested at the moment, and both camps have not even negotiated yet.

 

Fair enough but blaming hatton for not fighting witter, when witter over the last few years aprt from harris have not been spectacular.

"witter doesnt deserve a payday".Its absolute bull****.The bottom line is there 1 and 2 in the world and domestically.If Haye can give us Enzo vs Haye.Hatton can give us Witter Hatton when the fight has been brewing for the last 7 years.Hattons act has been nothing less than disgraceful.
