It's hard for me to make a comparison between Witter's and Cotto. Cotto's barely talking about fighting Floyd, and Witter is calling out Hatton big time, just like Hatton called out Floyd. Hatton is either got to fight Witter or wait till Witter loses. I'm very interested to see if Hatton can rebound from his loss to Floyd.

I understand Witter wants the fight but damn, give it a rest and fight somebody else for the time being. It was a terrible excuse Hatton made and even though I'm a big Hatton fan, it does seem like he's ducking him to an extent. It's a very high risk low reward fight for him though, if he wins, oh whatever he was the best at 140 anyway. If he loses everyone and I mean everyone will call Hatton a joke and a fraud. Plus there's bigger money fights out there even if we don't agree with them. I hope Hatton does fight Witter eventually, because it would look very bad for him if he didn't, but Witter needs to go out there and fight and win plain and simple and give this a rest for a little bit.

    Witter fans do not exist.

But I do sympathise with the guy, Hatton is being a complete ***** over this.

Hatton isn't scared of Witter. If I was Hatton I would never fight that disrespectful ass hole. The man has been trying to have Hatton piggy back him into the spotlight for years and years, when he needs to get off his ass and make his own waves in the boxing scene. The man is 34 years old and his best wins are against second tier fighters. I am never impressed when someone who sits around fighting B-class guys his entire career tries to make a big payday by calling out and disrespecting boxers who have paved their own way, and made the right moves in their career. Hatton should never give the ***** the satisfaction of earning a huge payday.

either you don't know the history or you're not bright enough to work out the glaring injustice in all of this. Maybe both. Probably both.
Or maybe you're just another blinkered Hatton hugger?

    why?
what disrespect are we talking about? Daring to call the sacred Ricky Hatton out?

compare their records and you might be surprised there is not a lot in it. Take a look and use your brain. Don't listen to those who have a vested interest in keeping Hatton away from Witter.

Uhhh... No. Hatton already had a bigger following than Mayweather. Let's remember that Mayweather even made less money than Gatti when they fought. Hatton was already equal with Mayweather as far as fan appeal. Nobody gives a **** about Witter.

The fight would still sell in the UK at least cos their grudge is well publicised. Hatton fans would watch him no matter who he fought. Remember Hatton regularly packed out the MEN before the Tzyu fight fighting bums.

If Hatton fights Witter and loses then that's it for him. He's spent 8 years putting down Witter and if he loses to him now it'll just prove Witter was right all along.

Having a bigger following doesn't automatically make him a better fighter.
