I was in my pals house watching the boxing though, & we planned to watch the Simpson-Morris fight & catch the repeat of the Witter fight on SKY at 2am whilst dodging the result. I got too tired though, & came up the road early. My pal has taped it though, so I will see it in the next few days.

Great KO by Witter. He has finished a very solid fighter. Glad to see his concentrating on his own career and forgetting Ricky, who is probably out of his league anyway.

i think Mallinaggi still beats him though...

Awright Olu:good I know you have great belief in your man Ajose, do you think he would have lived with Witter last night?:bbb Witter was good last night, think he would give give Hatton all the problems he could handle, so how would Ajose go about negating Witter style?? Would defo like to see Ajose mix it with the big guns to see how he fairs:good

Witter is the man. That was a quality. If Hatton loses to Mayweather and asks for a fight, Witter should tell him where to go.

Great show from JW, people might stand up and take notice now!

The Zab Judah fight he took at short notice done him no favours but im sure he has now shown he can fight with the best out there given proper prep time!

I want him to fight hatton but i also think it would be good for him to fight and beat Malignagi and beat undisputed champ.

I dont think Junior would say no, id think he would see it as a chance to show people what he has belived all along - that he can beat hatton.

good win for witter he was pretty positive and showcased his considerable skills.i don't think people should get carried away though to me harris was a flawed opponent.he showed against maussa and against witter that he has a big stamina and heart problem.he was doing ok in this fight for 3 rounds even though witters unorthodox combo's were causing him problems he was still looking dangerous and was well in the fight, hurting witter i think it was at the end of the 3rd round.then in the 4th he suddenly blows up and is floored from what really was not the hardest left hook you've ever seen, when he rises the referee asks him if he's ok and he doesn't respond but the referee lets him go on but the bell goes harris doesn't want to know he's gone..you would think the next round witter would come out and jump on harris but what does he do for the next 2 rounds but pose?what would hatton have done?the finishing left hook was impressive but get carried away by an opponent like harris i don't think so.

Thanks Top Dog. I thought Junior Witter was outstanding against Harris and was the best performance I have seen from him in years. I am no fan of Witter as you know but what made his performance even better was that this was a well prepared and dangerous Harris unlike the guy Maussa beat.

I did not want to mention Ajose in this post so as not to deflect from Witter justified plaudits on this occasion. Since you have asked I want to put it on record that all of us in Team Ajose including Ajose were absolutely delighted with Witter's performance. I don't want to give to much away but the guys that will beat Witter decisively are highly skilled boxer punchers with variety and better speed, skill , timing and tempo than Witter has and being southpaw as well helps. Top Dog I know you are a professor when it comes to knowledge of this great sport of ours therefore can you think of the fighter who has all the ingridents needed for Witter.

Ajose is high up in the WBC ratings and quite frankly the WBC belt means a lot to us so hopefully Ajose and Witter can get it on. We are very confident of the outcome and victory will mean even more as no one can say Witter is past his best.

That was a superb performance from Junior Witter, he won 6 out of the 7 rounds, completely bossed the fight and produced a great knockout.

Witter showed everything in that performance, excellent speed, great power, agility, reflexes and a quality snapping jab (once it got going). The left hook was lethal, Harris's legs looked dodgy everytime Witter tagged him. Also Witter's chin is very solid, he walked onto a couple of huge right hands yet didn't even blink. This against a guy that has a pretty high knockout ratio.

Remember Harris was a decent opponent and coming off 2 solid wins, I'm not going to accept this rubbish that he was shot/not at his best etc. Hate it when people drag up excuses for the beaten fighter and refuse to give credit to the winner. No, let's give Witter some credit for once and the critics needs to just eat their words and give Witter a pat on the back rather than talking about Harris.

Harris was a known and still is a KNOWN quantity.Witter did a dam fine job. Styles makes fight and its clearly obvious Harris had no answer for Juniors speed power nor unorthodox style.

i'm not taking anything away from witter i hope he goes on to achieve all his aims,it's just that despite being a "name" i just don't think harris was all that strong an opponent.his last 2 perfornances both against ageing blown up lightweights have been at best mediocre.certainly against stevie johnstone he looked totally unconvincing.

That's no excuse for not having an appetite to be the champion. Harris folded mentally.
