They're over the moon that Haye is out because he's dangerous, and Chagaev is just another generic Wlad opponent who will box with no self belief at all. Pathetic. :-(
I will ask you again: What makes Haye so dangerous? That he beat Bonin or Barrett? The guy is 100% unproven at heavyweight. We don't know how his speed, power etc will carry to Heavyweight. Chagaev is the #3 Heavyweight in the World. This would be for The Ring Magazine Heavyweight Championship that has been vacant since 2005. Haye brings none of that.
Time to unify!!! Even if the WBA won't recognize the winner as their champ who gives a rat's ass? Everyone will know who the real champion is and that's all that matters.
The following posters don't seem to want unification: This content is protected , This content is protected , This content is protected , This content is protected , This content is protected , This content is protected , This content is protected , This content is protected , This content is protected , This content is protected , This content is protected , This content is protected :-(
at the very least the winner will be: IBF/WBO/IBO/Ring Magazine Champion and if Wlad wins it will force Valuev to have to fight him eventually. That is much more than Haye brings to the table.
Quite honestly I always thought of Haye as a legend in his own mind who didn't deserve the opportunity in the first place. I'd much rather see unification whenever it's possible. Now there are no excuses for the WBA since there bull**** fight between Valuev & Chagaev couldn't happen and Ruslan is in training & so is Wladimir. The time is now, save the beating of David Haye for somewhere down the line. It'll give Haye an opportunity to prove he belongs at Heavyweight if he can beat Arreola, Solis the winner of Dimitrenko/Chambers, etc. while he waits for his chance.
In Wlad beat Chagaev and get the WBA belt in recess then Valuev must fight him to the true WBA champion.
Not true, 2 years ago I would of said this is the best fight that could be made. Though given Chagaev's medical condition, how could anyone give Wlad any type of credit if he wins? Aside from that, noone on this board seems to know who even has the WBA belt. I thought now that Chagaev is not cleared to fight Valuev, the belt is no longer Ruslans anymore.
It is hilarious how everyone complains about unification until we get it then they complain. Haye could not even beat Training Camp (does that sound familiar) so he will now go to the back of the line while the Heavyweight picture gets cleared up a little further.
Ruslan was not cleared to fight in Finland. He just fought in Germany 8 months ago. They have explained that he is not contagious. It was Valuev and King pulling a fast one to get out of the fight. The issue was just with Finland not Germany where he would fight Wlad. To get the WBA belt you have to beat Valuev. Beating Chagaev gets you a shot at Valuev. Klitschko/Chagaev would be for The Ring Magazine Championship and one site is reporting the winner would also be WBA Super Champion since belts would be further unified.
Thanks for clearing that up, but at the end of the day if Wlad beats Chagaev the belt is still in Valuev's hands. So who really cares if Wlad beats the walking sickness that is Ruslan Chagaev?
Does this mean that Chag has accepted the offer to fight JUne 20th? IF so, GO WITH THAT< WLAD!:good That's be almost as good for the division as a Haye fight, anyway, given that its unficating another title.
